Arrival Story:
One day when dropping of ebay mailings at the Post Office, the clerk said "you need to take that kitten that someone dumped at 6 this morning." He had been sitting next to the mailbox outside the PO door and no one bothered to pick him up. I said "I already have 5." Went outside picked him up, he was sick and listless, but gentle and not afraid. I took him over to where my partner was and showed him the kitten and he said "oh well, what's one more." We took him to the Vet had him checked out for Feline Leukemia, shots and isolated him for several months at our retail shop til he was well enough to go into our multi-cat household. He made so many friends at our shop and they missed him when we took him home, but he is the most unique and wonderful cat a person could want. Of course we love our senior citizens in our house, but a new baby just added more fun and love to our home. How did he find us, we'll never know, but glad we gave a dumped cat a good, loving, indoor home for life. Who knows how long he would have survived out in the streets. Our 12 year old Pom, Ezzie loves him too and only lets Frankie share our king size bed at sleepytime. St. Francis, is the Patron saint of animals and that's why we picked the name Francesco, but our UPS driver, an Italian teamster who grew to love him said "I'm gonna call him Frankie." So that's the nickname we now call him too unless he's bad and then we snap our finger and say "Francesco, NO." He stops and behaves. We are so lucky!

We always wondered where he came from, even leaving the message with the Postal clerk in case anyone came looking. They never did. And anyone who says the PO is heartless, the clerk helped pay half the Vet bills for his shots and medicine when we first took him. Thanks Dee.
