I have been tagged by Jeckyl. I have to pick 10 fellow Catsters and say a nice thing about them and about the cat that tagged me. Then, I send a p-mail or a rosette to the kitties that I have tagged. Let's get started:)

1) Jeckyl is a new furriend that we like very much. Him and his brother are both lucky black kitties to have such a caring meowmy.
2) Xena is one of the smartest and toughest cats we know. She is so tough that she stared death in the face and laughed!
3) Muggles MacLeod is the first furriend we made on Catster, and we feel bad that we haven't spoken for awhile. We love her because she is a beautiful grey and white cat who sings sweetly at night-time.
4) Tam is a wonderful and special kitty with the best eyesight out of every-cat in the world! He even has 2 pages.
5) Rusty is such a brave boy who deserves to rule over the house and get all the attention he can.
6) Jessica is our new feral furriend with extra toes-so cute! She is such a thoughtful kitty who brings her meowmy presents to share with the family.
7) Bosco is a handsome boy with lovely fur. He has a wonderful and caring human who helps him with his special needs, as well as helping other kitties in need.
8) Deuce is a pretty white kitty with the most beautiful eyes. We're glad she found her meowmy because she gives her everything she deserves.
9) Shadow is a gorgeous kitty we admire so much for fighting through so much pain in her life. We pray and purr every day that there will be a cure for her very soon.
10) Mitzi is a beautiful little black and white kitten with the cutest little nose ever! We look forward to watching her grow up.

Well, it's about time my mom wrote another diary entry for me! I'd do it myself but my paws are too big to hit the keys one at a time. All I ever end up typing is gibberish!
First off I'd like to announce how happy I am to be the 'All Fur Fun' Cat of the Day, MEOW!!!
Next I would like you all to know that my mommy hasn't been on catster very often in the last few months because she has been so busy with this silly work business, as well as doing this silly schoolwork business at home on the computer. She told me she is studying hard so that she can be a human vet; I think the word she used is 'nurse'. She would like to apologize to all her feline friends and her corralled kitties for ignoring them for so long. Now my mommy is only working a couple of days a week so she can do her school work AND have a little fun on the side! YAY!

---------------------Update on the new kitty under the porch-------------------------

We have a permanent outside cat that lives in our laundry room. She is orange and beautiful, and we have named her Ginger. We believe she has something wrong with her that makes her unable to get pregnant. We know she has been in heat numerous time and have seen the other males in the neighborhood...well, you know. Still, we've never seen any evidence of her being pregnant or seen any evidence of kittens. This is a good thing, of course, because while we want to take care of all the feral cats in our neighborhood, we don't need more litters of kittens born into the wild-especially since we don't know if she has any communicable diseases.
She is truly a feral cat, as she will not let anyone get too close. I have been feeding her for 8 months now and I've never been able to get closer than about 3 feet away. She has a nice box with a blanket in it to sleep, which is close to our furnace so she can stay warm in the winter. She has 2 boyfriends that are also orange, and they like to hang out together in our yard. One of them has squinty eyes, and the other one looks like a tabby with different shades of orange and a white belly. We don't know what to name them yet so any suggestions would be great!!!
We also have another feral cat who seems to be relatively new to the area. He looks like he's still young (maybe not even a year old yet), and he's a tabby that we have named Scamp. He's very skittish of everyone and everything, but he does come up on the porch to eat at night. He's only been around our area for about 2 months now and we're hoping he can get used to humans at least a little bit.
So, in addition to me (the most important kitty), we have 4 outside kitties that we feed, and a family of raccoons. All the orange kitties are pretty used to us now and they no longer run when they see us-as long as we don't get too close. Scamp (the young tabby), takes off as soon as he catches a glimpse of us, so we have to be very sneaky to take a look at him (or her-we don't know yet). We're working on getting some pictures of our adopted outside cats so that we can make them each their own pages. Look for them soon!
Anyway, my mom has to go and do some schoolwork stuff, so bye for now!

The cat outside the window...

Just this past winter('06), I was looking out the window at this weird white stuff that had fallen and stuck on the ground a few days before when I saw another kitty on the porch. I don't like other cats in my yard so I started to snort and paw at the blinds over the window. My mom came to see what the fuss was about and saw this cat outside. She looked at it and said to me, "The poor kitty looks so thin and tiny, I'm going to see if it's okay." Then my mom went outside while I watched and she sat down on the porch. The kitty ran a few feet away but then came back and my mom was right, she was REALLY skinny. My mom opened the door and called to my dad to bring some food and water outside for this kitty. The kitty gobbled down as much food in one sitting as I eat in 2 or 3 days! After the kitty had eaten and drank, my mom and dad tried to get it to come to them. It seemed very friendly being as it had eaten food within 2 feet of them and was afterwards rubbing itself into the posts on the porch. The cat then started to rub against my mom and dad and even jumped up into their laps. I didn't like seeing another cat get attention from my parents but I couldn't do anything about it but watch. I could hear my mom asking my dad if he thought the kitty might be pregnant since she had a swollen belly but her bones were sticking out everywhere else. He said he thought she was right and maybe they should try to put her in a carrier and take her to the SPCA so she could get some immediate care. My mom got my cat carrier, put a fresh towel inside and took it back out to the porch. She easily picked up the friendly kitty and placed her inside the carrier. When she called the SPCA, she found out that they were closed and if you had a question you should leave a message or call back during business hours. They seemed very frustrated by this because they thought the kitty needed immediate medical attention, since it was most likely pregnant, emanciated and had been outside in the cold, wet, white stuff for who knows how long. They reluctantly called the animal control center to ask for advice on what they should do. To my parents surprise, the received an optimistic response from the officer there. Since my mom had managed to catch her and she was so friendly, the officer said that she could be brought there and would be attended to by a vet immediately. Success! The nice officer came to our house and picked the kitty up from my very concerned parents. My mom wanted to know if he could update us on how she was doing in a couple of days. He gave her the number of where she would be taken and my mom called a couple of days later. She was so happy to find out that the kitty had been placed into foster care and was doing well. Also, she was indeed pregnant and due to have her kittens very soon! How relieved my mom was that I spotted the kitty and made a fuss about it because she was able to save her and her litter from most likely dying outside in the cold. I was also relieved that there was no longer a kitty living under my porch; I may be an indoor kitty but it's still MY porch. Well, until another kitty moved in. This one is orange and my mom says it's probably part feral. She gives it water and food and put a blanket down on the unused furnace filter where she found little piles of orange kitty fur. I think my mom said she hopes to one day catch it and take it to the vet to get checked out and fixed. I just hope my mom doesn't adopt another cat and forget about me!
