Arrival Story:
Some aquaintances had 3 Singapuras an old housemate had left and were looking for homes in 2002. He was a purebreed but wasn't registered because he got into a spat with a littermate when he was a kitten and scratched his eye badly. His eye was cloudy (like cataracts) thus ruining him from being a show cat but could see perfectly fine according to the vet. I had never thought I'd own a purebreed but if Sidney is any indication of other Singapuras I want to get a kitten when I can afford one.

Sidney was very shy (he had been with a mean owner before the folks who had him before me) and was very skiddish and *hated* men. But once a lady had earned his trust he was the most affectionate cat. He died of an infection on August 31, 2005 - was playing on Friday and Sunday was suddenly very sick. The nice emergency vet said that one of the problems with cats is they are so proud that they don't let their humans know they're sick until it's too late a lot of the times. *sniffle* He is buried on grandma & grandpa's farm with the other family cats & dogs (and a cow & a horse) who have passed on.

The other day mummy was unpacking some boxes from her recent move and found a bunch of photographs she made with her old film camera. There was a bunch of pictures of Huey, Dewey & Louie (the goslings who were born at the pond out our back door) and a few pictures of me in there too. One of em she's anxious to get the scanner up and working to scan in. AND she wants to find a frame to put it in too. I was sitting "meatloaf" style in a sunny spot from the patio door. I like to be remembered in the land of the living, and knowing mum got all teary eyed finding my picture made me feel really loved still.
