Arrival Story:
This woman had 9 cats in her house and 3 kittens and was being evicted. She left the cats alone in the house and moved out. They were hungry and very malnourished. Their was at least one dead kitten and two others that were close to death. The two kittens are doing great now and the other cats are safe in a no kill shelter. (We bottle fed and fostered the kittens) When I saw Tan tan I just fell in love with him, he so much reminded me of my own first cat (when I was an adult no longer with parents) He was just this soft, sweet, adorable ball of mush. At this point I had no cats of my own and a dog that was labeled "not good with cats or other dogs" per shelter testing. I spoke to the Shelter Manager about taking him home with me to see how my dogs was and how he was with the dog. I was very surprised to see Tanner and my dog getting along great. With my dog on leash and no chasing , Tanner would rub up against Taco. MORE info to come as Tanner is not doing ok with the dog and we feel it's best to try to find him a home without dogs or with a small dog that does not chase cats.

Bio:
Tanner is a very sweet lovable cat. He always looks grumpy though as you will see in his pictures lol. He is very quiet mellow and a real sweetheart. He LOVES everyone he meets and rolls on his back for you to rub his tummy...... He loves other cats and is very accepting of all the fosters we take in... Even puppies :) He loves to lay on the bed and hug the babies :-) He sometimes acts like a mom, cleaning and sleeping with the babies. My mom the person who does not like Cats LOVES TANNER. She said he's just like a puppy, tanner is visiting my mom along with my son for a little while for the summer, Tannner is having a great time getting all the attention.

Moving into new home with Tan tan

Tanner is doing very well since the move to our new home about a week ago. He has adjusted pretty well, but still stays away from the dog Taco. Tanner no longer has his own bedroom, so this is an adjustment for him. He sleeps in our room now most of the time under the bed until we fall asleep then he comes up and sleeps next to us. He also likes his bed in my closet I guess he still needs to feel safe. With a little more time I'm sure he will be back to his crazy self again.
