indoors Arrival Story: I had wanted a red Somali for a long time. I had checked with several breeders in the local area. None of them had reds. Then I heard of a rescued Somali that was being fostered by a volunteer for S.A.B.R.E. His name was Sundance. He and his companion cat Lexi were being fostered by a local Abyssinian breeder. They had been rehomed several times because he had the habit of defecating on the floor. That didn't disturb me. It's easy enough to clean up after a cat like that. He was a beautiful, sweet boy. He and Lexi had been surrendered by a Military family that was being sent overseas. I decided to take them. After being shuffled from one place to another, I was happy to give them a home where they could be for the rest of their lives. Sadly, the rest of Sundance's life was only 4 months. He developed FIP and had to be put to sleep on November 18, 1998. Lexi was with us for a number of years.
