Arrival Story: We rescued Catsy on April 13, 2007 from years and years on the street as a stray and took her to the vet because she appeared to be ill. She had an open wound on her leg that was infected with three types of bacteria that needed to be drained and stitched closed. Her long hair was soaked in urine and stool and her coat had to be removed entirely. She had ticks too. But worst of all, she weighed only 5 pounds and was severely malnourished, dehydrated and anemic. She was infested with 3 kinds of worms, infected with bartonella and suffered from coccidia and other ailments. She also had a broken tail. These things would be hard for any cat to overcome, but she is at least 15 years old, and she had been living under these conditions for many years.
The doctors were not sure she would make it, but over the last several months she has shown us that she will. She has gotten stronger, put on weight and grown some fur.
Bio: We lost Catsy on September 28, 2008. All of her years suddenly caught up to her, and she went into kidney failure. We did everything possible to try to save her because she cheated death many times! But it was her time to fly, and so we just remember her and love her and miss her every day.

My Forever Love:
A Stray Cat's Prayer: Dear God, please send me somebody who'll care.
I'm so tired of running and sick with despair.
My body is aching and filled with such pain;
And dear God I pray, as I run in the rain
That someone will love me and give me a home,
A warm cozy bed, and food of my own.
My last owner left me alone in the yard...
I watched as they moved, and God that was hard.
So I waited a while, then went on my way
To rummage in garbage and live as a stray.
But now, God, I'm so tired and hungry and cold;
And I'm so afraid that I'll never grow old.
They've chased me with sticks and hit me with straps
While I run the streets just looking for scraps.
I'm not really bad, God, please help if you can,
For I have become just a "Victim of Man."
I'm wormy, dear God, and I'm ridden with fleas;
And all that I want is an Owner to please.
If you find one for me, God, I'll try to be good.
I won't scratch the carpet; I'll do as I should.
I'll love them, play with them, and try to obey.
I will be so grateful if they'll let me stay.
I don't think I'll make it too long on my own,
'Cause I'm getting weak and I'm so all alone.
Each night as I sleep in the bushes I cry,
'Cause I'm so afraid, God, that I'm gonna die.
I've got so much love and devotion to give
That I should be given a new chance to Live.
So dear God, please hear me, please answer my prayer,
And send me somebody who will REALLY care.

Today I had to watch over my pal Chloe and keep her from coming to the Bridge, but I also had to escort a very good girl to Heaven. I told sweet, gorgeous little Lola it was her time to fly but to not be afraid...all good girls go to Heaven! And she took my paw and we flew way over the Bridge, where she was welcomed by so very many of our angel friends and family.
I always had a special place in my heart for this good girl because she was adopted later in life like me, and she was taken from her loving family too soon just like me. But now we have both known the kind of love that all kitties should know in their lifetime, and were both so lucky to have felt it.
Well, it's time to go to the meet and greet for all the new angels coming out of orientation! Then I promised to watch over Chloe! I sure am a busy angel princess!
Wow! There was an actual stampede in Heaven today! Everycat wants to meet and greet Catster's Pawsomest Pal Calvin! I am so sad for his family, but it was Calvin's time to fly. He will make such a great angel.
I FINALLY got to meet him, and let me tell you, he is just as sweet and adorable as you might imagine. He looks so orange and healthy, and his eyes are sparkling like two green jewels. He is already friends with every single animal at the Bridge! Every man cat wants to shake his paw and every angel lady cat hopes he will notice her! Not me, of course. I have my heart set on another orange mancat named Taz!
We are sending purrs of love and comfort to his Mawmee and Daddy and Violet, Samoa, Gleek, Newman and Sugar.
In spirit of Meowloween, I thought I would play a little jokey-joke on my Mommy tonight! Tee-hee!
You see, my mommy is taking care of her mommy (my sweet Grandma who rescued me) because Grandma fell down Friday night. She will be ok, but she is very banged up, and she broke her fall with her face, so she will have to buy new dentures at the denture store. It's ok...she needed new ones anyhow, but it's still upsetting.
Anymeow, Grandma asked Mommy to take some cash money to the bank and deposit it for her using the big machine robot teller. Mommy had second thoughts about going there at night to do this, but how could she say no to poor injured Grandma? Also, she wondered how Grandma even knew about the robot teller. Surely she has never used one herself.
So she took the money and pulled up to the drive-up robot teller. But the robot teller was out of envelopes, so she sighed and started to drive away. Then she heard a noise and jumped. She saw something. Moving. In the bushes. By the robot.
Guess who it was? It was one cream colored kitteh and one small black kitteh! Mommy said, "Oh, no you don't! You might have angel princess powers, but no way am I bringing any more cats home!!!"
She watched them and formed several half-baked thoughts about helping them. But seriously, how could she catch them? If she did catch them, what would she do with them? Maybe they were pets. Probably not. Oh well. They disappeared and then she drove home and had to explain to Grandma why you can't put money in the robot with no envelopes.
Giggles!
Well, I have to get back to flying around my pal Calvin to keep him from thinking it's his time to go to the Bridge! We all take turns keeping him on Earth with his family for as long as possible!
