Arrival Story: Peanut's mom is Lucy, a beautiful feral girl who our friend has been feeding. This is the same friend who looks after Willow, who is Po's mom, where we got our funny guy Po from. Lucy has been elusive up until now and has had 3 litters in the meantime, has finally been caught and was brought indoors prior to her giving birth. Peanut and Ellie and Wilber will be put up for adoption when they are old enough and Lucy will finally be spayed.
Bio: They are so sweet! Lucy actually gave birth to Ellie and Wilbur. Peanut (now Jake), who was found near a factory at 2 days old as the only surviving kitten, was brought to the vet who knew Lucy had also just given birth. The vet called our friend and asked if they could try to see if Lucy would accept and adopt him as her own. Well she did! It was an amazing miracle. So now there are three adorable little babies. Peanut's development is a little behind the other two kittens, probably because he had a bad start and was found on the frozen ice near a factory with his littermates who had died, with no mother around to be found. In his video he appears to have trouble walking on the bare floor, while the other two have no problem now, and his legs seem shorter. But he seems to do ok when there is a carpet under him. He is definitely very, very cute though!! **UPDATE** April 21/07 - Little Peanut is the first of the three to be adopted. He is extremely cute at 6 weeks and has been adopted by a nice lady (a co-worker) who wanted a kitten as a buddy for her very active kitty who is almost 2 years old. Apparently the two are getting along very nicely! She has changed his name to Jake. We will miss this little cutie, but he has gone to a good home. Kisses to you and good luck, sweet little Peanut. **FURTHER UPDATE, 2009: Jake is quite a handsome guy now, at 2 years old, and you can see he definitely must have Maine Coon in him. He is huge and long haired, with a bushy tail, and has that obvious Maine Coon face and look about him.**
