I'm very sad today!

I'm so very sad today. My new friend, Bootsie had to go the Bridge very unexpectedly yesterday. She went in to have her teeth cleaned and they found a mass in her esophagus. It was most likely late stage cancer. And, in a cat her age, any treatment there would have been virtually impossible. Unfortunately with this type of cancer, you don't know your baby has it until it is in the late stages. Her mom thought it was her teeth causing her problems eating. So, her mom got the call while she was at work. She made the very hard decision that since Bootsie was still under anesthesia to let her go to the Bridge. *wipes tears* How very brave and unselfish was that? Our hearts are broken though that she didn't get to say good bye. Bootsie was her mom's mom's cat. So, it's even harder for her mom as the last reminder of her is now gone.
Pie, Zeke and I all had them at our house last weekend for a slumpurr pawty. I was so happy that she came cause she's shy just like me. So, we hit it off very well. She was so happy. And, we all had so much fun. Sunday was her 16th birthday. Zeke had made a cheesecake and we spelled out Happy Birthday Bootsie on it with nip chips. You should have seen her face. It was lit up. Flowie and Whisper said that she had a really good time. I'm happy. I understood her cause I'm so shy myself. I just wish that I had gotten to know her a bit better. Maybe she can be my Guardian Angel. I don't have one. And, then we could talk at night and stuff.
*wipes the tears streaming down into her fur* I'm so sad for her mom and family. They are all just the nicest purrs and human. I'm purring really hard for them right now. Flowie, Whisper, Riley, Flowie's mom...and the rest of the sibs....please know that we all love you dearly and are purring hard to comfort you. Bootsie was met by our Bridge sibs, Lacey and Cagney, among others. And, I know she's going to be all right until we're all reunited one day.

5. What's your favorite rosie and why? I like the heart. Cause when I send that particular one it lets the one receiving it that it comes from my heart.

My sisfur, Pie, tagged me. Gee, I'm the quiet one. Now I have to think of stuff. Ok...let's get started.

1) I'm all black except for one spot way down on my belly. Mom hardly ever sees it that's how hidden it is.

2) I love to lay in the crook of mom's arm till she falls asleep. If I hear her wake in the night, I nudge her arm and make her lay on her back so she can hold me again.

3) I have a chair in the bedroom that has a couple fleece throws on it that I love to snuggle in and sleep.

4) I was originally found in bad shape in a dumpster and ended up at PetSmart till a friend of mom's adopted me. From there I came to mom! Her friend's grandkids were allergic. Mom swears the universe sent me to her. It' in my bio.

5) I like to lay on mom's lap and have her arm over me when she's reading.

6) I love this really handsome cat, Senna.

7) I like to look out the front window and watch the birds and catch some sun.
