Muppet was rescued from a hoarder called FLOCK by her Mommy and Best Friends Animal Society. She has the BEST home now, but she needs to have surgery on her ears so that she isn't in pain from ear infections anymore. The only thing is, the surgery is really expensive and her Mommy doesn't have enough money to pay for it herself.
Thanks to Hazel Lucy, we have a Catster HQ Approved group where we can go to find out how we can add "bucks" to Muppet's Bucket, so she can have the surgery that will save her life! In addition, Winnie and Chester'sMommy will MATCH donations up to $1000 between now and Wednesday. So whatever you can donate, even if it's just a few dollars, Muppet will get TWICE that amount for her much needed surgery!
Check out Muppet's Bucket group here!

I've tried so hard so many times to write this. But each time, the tears filled my eyes and I just couldn't. I'm going to try again.
I lost my BFF this week. Jazzi left for the Bridge.
I suppose I knew that someday I would have to say those words out loud. But, I had been purring so hard that it would be a long time. And I still can't say what I feel and how much her friendship and love meant to me. *wipes the tears from her eyes with her paws*
Jazzi, my friend, I love you and I miss you. And, I know you're watching over us right now.
I think this song says a part of what I'm feeling right now.
There You'll Be
When I think back on these times
And the dreams we left behind
I'll be glad 'cause I was blessed
To get to have you in my life
When I look back on these days
I'll look and see your face
You were right there for me
In my dreams I'll always see you soar above the sky
In my heart there'll always be a place for you, for all my life
I'll keep a part of you with me
And everywhere I am there you'll be
And everywhere I am there you'll be
Well you showed me how it feels
To feel the sky within my reach
And I always will remember all the strength you gave to me
Your love made me make it through
Oh, I owe so much to you
You were right there for me
In my dreams I'll always see you soar above the sky
In my heart there'll always be a place for you, for all my life
I'll keep a part of you with me
And everywhere I am there you'll be
'Cause I always saw in you my light, my strength
And I want to thank you now for all the ways
You were right there for me
You were right there for me
For always
In my dreams I'll always see you soar above the sky
In my heart there'll always be a place for you, for all my life
I'll keep a part of you with me
And everywhere I am there you'll be
And everywhere I am there you'll be
There you'll be.

I'ts been a bit since I've come here to write anything. But, tonight, I'm feeling pretty sad. My BFF, Jazzi, has suddenly gone blind. Her mom told mine that it is a rare illness that causes it. Right now, my dear friend is so scared and confused and very quiet. And, her mom is heartbroken. Jazzi is one of the sweetest, most unselfish, loving purrs that I've met. She always has a good word for anyone that is sick, dog or cat, even when she isn't feeling all that great. I really don't understand how these things happen or why. I know they say there is a reason for everything...and I believe in the power of the universe. But, sometimes things just make you wonder. I know, though, that we will all help Jazzi and her family in whatever way we can. She would never hesitate to do the same for us. And, I know that though she is locked in darkness...she can feel our love in her huge heart.
If you have a purr or prayer to spare...please send it along to Jazzi and her family. Each and every one of us who know them are truly blessed. I love you Jazzi girl! We're right here beside you.

My bestest furriend Flowie tagged me. So, I'm happy to try and come up with the 7 things you may like to know about me.
1) I love it when mom lays on the floor to play with me..especially with that ball in the circle thingy.
2) I don't like thunderstorms any more. I wasn't too bad when I was younger but now mom always
picks me up and snuggles me when we're having one.
3) I love to be brushed. I walk around in circles while mom is doing it, I get so excited.
4) I picked mom when she came to the shelter to find a kitty. I tapped her on the shoulder and then
jumped into her arms after she looked at the other kitties.
5) I like to drink out of a cup my mom puts in the bathroom sink.
6) I love to snuggle with mom on the couch on Sundays when she watches football. I lay on her
stomach and then we fall asleep...MOL
7) I'm getting to be a picky eater. But, I love Fancy Feast! And, even raw chicken...
I'm not sure yet which friends I will tag....

I wrote this a few months back for our essay contest. It just all came out so easily as I thought about what our group, PAWS Angels WAGS For Kindness meant to me. I'm going to put it here for a friend who wrote me this morning after losing a friend. This kitty is in our group and just beginning to realize what a difference it makes deep in your own heart when you reach out your paw.
It's so very hard to define something that has become a part of my heart and soul. This group is one individual....and another individual and another and so on and so on. We all start out wrapped up in our own world. Then, slowly and quietly without even realizing it, things change.
We read a story, we send a rosette. We think we're done. But, we're not. Each story leads to another and leads to another. And, before we know it, those stories reveal the kitty or dog behind it. It's no longer just a page on the internet. It's a family with very real problems and heartaches. It's a family worrying and praying that their furbaby makes it. It's a family that is heartbroken because their furbaby has gone on to the Rainbow Bridge. Or it's a family that feels so alone in their desperation that they reach out their paws in hopes that someone is out there and will take hold of them.
And, you respond. You send a rosette, you send a word or two..you purr or woof...you say a prayer. And, as it goes on, you get those pawmails that say how much you touched them and how much your words meant. And, you begin to realize that this is all so much bigger than you had ever dreamed it could be. You begin to realize that maybe you can actually make a difference in someone's life with what seems like those very simple words.
And, as you go on and search for those stories and families to post about, it starts to touch you deeper and deeper. You start to feel their pain and desperation. And, the tears flow so easily as you are touched in ways you never thought you would be or could be. And you want to try harder and harder to bring comfort, to bring love, to bring friendship to those families.
Sometimes it's not easy. Sometimes it hurts so bad that you want to shut down and say no, I cannot go on and do this any more. But, then you remember. You remember that there is someone out there who is living through this story that made you cry and hurt so deeply you wanted to give up. So, you don't ...you don't give up. You keep on purring/woofing/praying and sending those words of comfort and support and love. Because you really do feel them. You feel each and every word you say. And you mean it to the very tip of your heart and soul. You feel the happiness when a story that you've followed has a happy ending and the furkid has beaten the odds. You feel the sorrow and frustration right along with the family when it's been a roller coaster of emotions and the battle ends up being lost.
And, before you know it....you are no longer alone yourself. It is all given back to you. In the words of thanks that you receive, in the satisfaction of knowing that you took someone's paw and made them not feel so alone. But, especially so in those friendships that you have made in sharing a common goal. The loner is no longer alone. But, rather a part of something that is so powerful that words cannot describe it, nor reason explain it. You have joined paws with other paws, be they cat or dog, it no longer matters. What matters is simply that it can and does accomplish some awesome things. When paws are joined and united in friendship and love, nothing can stop the power of the paw .

2.Do you prefer summer or winter olympics? I like the summer ones best.
3. What is the quirkiest thing that you do? Oh boy, I have to pick one? Well, I wait till mom's in bed at night. Then, I mew in an odd mew that makes her get up. There I sit with a toy wanting to play!!
4. Do you have a crush on any other kitty out there and if so, who? Yes, I sure do. Mojo....he's so handsome and such a sweet guy.
5.What's your favorite rosie or zealie and why? Hmmm....well, I like the ones that last forever. You get more bang for your buck so to speak. But, I also like the hearts and the roses. Oh and the new diamond are awesome too.

Wow! I was so thrilled today to go to our group page and read that! Me! Being one of the administrators we usually discuss who we think should get the honor. Those sneaky little furriends did it all without me knowing....mol.
I'm so very honored and humbled. Our group is such a special one. So, what is it we do, you ask? Well, what we do as a group is send purrs, pawmails, dog or kitty friend requests, bones or treats, or a rosettes to those pups and kitties that are sick, crossed to the Bridge, missing, or have done something really special for another pup or kitty. It's just a little way to make our corner of the world a nicer place. It's hard sometimes when we read the stories. But, it's all worth it when that kitty or dog writes and says how much it meant to them to know someone was thinking of them and purring for them. It's amazing how a little love and kindness go such a long way.
So, I value my time as administrator and as a member of this wonderful group. I've made some incredible furriends and I cherish all of you. Especially my very dearest BFF Jazzi, Scooter, Belle and Shadow, Isis, and my extra special bestest new furriend Madi. Without all of you, I couldn't continue to do what we do.
Ok...I'm going to go and tell the rest of the family and walk around proudly with my chest puffed up for a bit...MOL Seriously, I am truly honored and touched by this.

Ut oh, I got tagged. Now I have to think about those 7 things......well at least what I can share with all of you...hehehe
HERE ARE THE RULES OF THE GAME: Each player starts with seven random facts about themselves. Cats who are tagged need to post in their Diary (1) The Rules of the Game, and (2) Seven Pawsome Facts About Themselves. (Just copy and paste these if you like) (3) Then choose 7 kitties to tag and list their names in your diary. Don’t forget to purr them a pawmail informing them that they have been tagged and notifying them to read your Diary, or, send them a fun Rosette announcing that they've been tagged. If anyone really doesn't want to participate, I won't be offended. It's just for fun, you know!
I was tagged by Jazzi
1) I love my mom and snuggling on her lap.
2) I like to play with the rings off the milk cartons.
3) Before mom goes to work, she always picks me up to kiss me. But, I always make her chase me a little first....mol
4) I like sleeping on the couch on the little blanket mom put there for me.
5) When I was littler, I got stuck in between the window and the screen. Mom found me after work and still doesn't know what happened. I was so scared and so was she. She didn't know how long I had been there. She held me and kissed me so much. It took me a long time before I would go in the kitchen again.
6) I used to be scared to look out the front windows, but Shadow taught me not to be. No it had nothing to do with being stuck that time. I was always like that since when mom brought me home.
7) My shelter name was Hellicious. What the heck kind of name is that? Mom gave a friend the honor of naming me. So she named me after a kitty that she loved. The name comes from the movie, Bell, Book and Candle. It's really spelled Pyewackett there but mom's friend could never spell good.
I'm tagging:
Madison
Teddy-The Angel
Inky
Scarlet
Guy Guy
