I've been tagged by my pal, Dave (476191) and I'm supposed to share five things for which I'm thankful. Not difficult for me! I'm a pretty lucky girl.

1. I'm thankful for my food bowl that gets filled up twice a day (unless mommy decides to give me some Catsip as a treat! then it's 3 times a day!!)And that we always have fresh water to drink so i don't have to drink out of toilets, wine glasses or bathtubs.

2. I'm thankful for the chair by mommy and daddy's computer. I can take naps there, and always see all of the action going on when I wake up.

3. I'm thankful for the bird feeder outside that brings so many rascally birds to the feeder and the balcony floor right outside the door from us. They provide endless hours of plotting and entertainment for Sven and I.

4. I'm thankful for my Catster friends who mean so much to me. They are funny and kind, and mommy and I have learned a lot about love and strength from them.

5. I am SUPER thankful for my sweet Carlito. He has been there for me for more than a year now. He protects me from uncle Gary, Sven's teasing, and the bitter cold of Wisconsin Winters. His brothers and sisters are very lucky to have him, as am I, and his mommy has done a great job of raising him.

6. Last of all, I'm thankful for my mommy and daddy. They take care of me, feed me, are warm to snuggle against, give me great behind-the-ear rubs and protect me from all sorts of dangers. I am also thankful for my bro-fur sven. He's a good guy and I know he makes my daddy very happy, since I'm a momma's girl.

1 I was named GG after mommy saw the last name "Glingle" and fell in love with the sound. Then she just had to find a 'first name' that would make it alliterative. I have so many nicknames by now, that I probably wouldn't even answer to GG anymore

2 I love to chew on cardboard boxes. No one quite knows why, but sometimes I will wake my mommy and daddy up by gnawing loudly.

3 I am a begging kitty. It's mommy's fault because I'm just too cute to resist when I watch her with these big, huge golden eyes and lick my lips. Some of my favorite human foods are cottage cheese, vanilla pudding, and turkey

4 I turn into the antichrist when I go to the vet. Mommy was bragging to the vet the first time about how wonderful I was and that she was worried about my personality changing after getting spayed, bla bla bla. The vet must have thought mommy was crazy because it took 3 vets to try and hold me down to get a vaccination accomplished, and they STILL couldn't do it! Who would want to preserve such a snarling, growly beasts personality?!

5 I love freshly-showered humans!! When my mommy or daddy get out of the shower, I am especially lovey, because i like to lick their hair or ankles or toes (whatever I can reach).

6 The fur on my belly looks like an old, well-loved stuffed animal. It sort of clumps together in little peaks, and my mommy and daddy can't resist rubbing it when I am lounging around on my back

7 I have very fluffy haunches. The puff out like pantaloons (thanks, Casper!) I do NOT like when daddy brushes them, but I put up with it to reap the benefits of the treats afterwards.

8 I have a celebrity crush. Derrick Turnbow, the 8th inning pitcher for the Milwaukee Brewers. In my dreams, he takes me out to fancy dinners and the theater. In reality, he's probably a dog person. My real man, Charlie, is much better!!

My new crush...

Hi everybody,

Sorry I haven't been updating my diary very fastideously (is that a word?) I've been very busy saving (and watching) the world, one pesky bug at a time. Sitting by the window is one of my favorite pasttimes. I watch the birds in the feeder that my mommy and daddy put outside for me and dream about chasing birds and chasing bugs with my kittycrush, Charlie. Oh, I haven't told you about Charlie yet?

Charlie is my new crush. He gave me a rosette about 2 weeks ago and we've been pawmailing ever since. He is quite the gentleman and offered to protect me from loud fireworks noises and make sure that no sparks singe my long, silky white fur. I told him I would love to hold paws with him and watch the fireworks from a safe distance with the appropriate amount of "ooh, ahhh, oh"

He is a lovely chap and I've been grooming myself at least one extra time per day since I started chatting with him. I don't even mind as much if my mommy and daddy brush me lately. So, if you see Charlie, tell him I said hi and that he's very sweet.

...if I must

My mom is making me tell you fellow catsters about all of my embarrassing moments that made her and daddy laugh. It is a list that will probably be updated about once a week, as I do a lot of goofy stuff. I'll start you off with a good one:

It was easter sunday. mom and dad came home that evening with some marshmallow peeps (mom had heard about "peep swordfighting" in the microwave and she and dad just HAD to try it out. The experiment was a bust. After the first failed attempt, mom dumped the bloated, steaming marshmallow carcass into the garbage right near where I was perched. I just had to inspect it, so I got up on my two back legs and looked into the garbage (1) I looked to daddy for approval, which he did not give. (2) I stuck my big, fluffy white paw in the scalding marshmallow goo anyway. Wow, was that hot! (3)I quickly swiped my paw back toward myself, but ended up getting the majority of the goo entangled in my left whiskers. Mommy and daddy were freaking out because molten marshmallow goo cools off and becomes solid VERY quickly and they were worried about my whiskers. I wandered back in the kitchen a few seconds later, but the marshmallow was gone! Mom seemed relieved at first, but then did a search of our home, looking for the mallow-whisker conglomeration. When she didn't find it, daddy picked me up and mom noticed a whisker peeking out of my mouth. Yup. I ate my whiskers RIGHT off my face because they had delicious toasted marshmallow on them. Mom and dad were rolling on the floor laughing. I didn't think it was that funny. (4)I mean, c'mon, I walked around for the next two months with only half a face of whiskers. And I was clumsy to begin with....

The numbers were added, because we have a play-by-play pictoral account of these 4 stages of the de-whiskering. I will post them if there is any interest...
