What an exciting day this has been. Mommy and Emma went out to run errands today, and wen mommy got home she had a big brown box in her arms. She told me it was addressed to me!!!! OMC...what a surprise. We opened it up to find it filled with gifts from my darling BeauBeau! He sent me a pink snoozy bed, two beautiful little angels and other wonderfur gifts. We put the snoozy bed in the office because I like to sleep by the computer. The angels are up on the self above me looking down and watcing over me. You can just bet what I will be dreaming of...sweet dreams BeauBeau!

A tragic loss

Today it is with great sadness that I write of the loss of our darling sister, Miss Dback. She became very ill this past week and was diagnosed with liver failure. After a valiant effort to save her life, she succumbed yesterday morning. Not until after she had hung on just long enough to be here for Ginger Belle's 7th birthday, jsut one day earlier. Miss Dback died peacefully in the arms of our mommy, surrounded by all of us.

I'll never forget the day she arrived in our home...mommy came through the door with a blue carry on bag, and when she unzipped the bag in the hallway, out popped Miss Dback. My first thought was, "Oh good grief, not again!" because this was now the fourth time that mommy had surprised me with a new furbling. It did not take much time for me to love her.

Her death leaves a hole in all of our lives, but just as she took a piece of each of us with her, she has left a piece of her within each of us as well. We are all better kitties for having known her, and she will be missed dearly.

Just 3 1/2 months earlier, her soul mate...our brother Buster...had died of kidney failure. Since that time she put up a brave front, but I know that she missed him terribly...there was a real bond between the two of them that time and space could not sever. I know now that they are together again, and that this is how it was meant to be.

And so, my beloved sister and friend, farewell and we will meet again. I know that you and Buster are together again and that you are truly happy at last. You will never be forgotten.

Your loving sister-

I have been tagged by Jazzi.

Rules: Each player picks seven random facts about themselves, and writes the seven things and the rules in their own diary. Next choose seven cats to tag and list their names. Send the seven cats you chose a comment that they have been tagged and to read your diary. My seven random facts:

(1) I love to cuddle under the blanket with my mommy.
(2) I don't like to have my turf invaded.
(3) I purr like a locomotive!
(4) I secretly love having our D-O-G Emma around.
(5) Nothing says "I love you" like a good white meat tuna platter!
(6) My favorite nap spot is on top of the computer.
(7)I love to walk across the keyboard and rub up against mommy's face when she is typing!

I haven't figured out who I will tag yet, I have to go see who has NOT been tagged!

Oh, my aching head. Hey- there's two of everything here...that was some party we had yesterday!!! Yes- it was the first annual May birthday kitty party, and what a celebration it was. There were hula lessons, a limbo contest, a conga line, a treasure hunt and food, food, and more food. And catnip. I'm sure that my headache probably has something to do with the catnip!!!!! Emma's cream volcano was a hit as well...we had over 243 hits on the thread...yes...this will definitely be talked abou tfor some time to come! The best part, is that we got to honor 45 birthday kitties. That was very special for all of us.

I need an ice pack.....

Party Planner

So much for me to do, and less than two weeks to do it in. My sisters and I have decided that we need to do something BIG to celebrate the birthdays of our two other sisters, Princess Nikki and Miss Dback. Early this month we were putting the final touches on the plans for Buster's birthday celebration, when he suddenly became ill. Instead of having a party, we ended up having a funeral. We are all still very sad over that. That's why mommy says it is important for us to have this party so we can move on. We have made lots of friends on Catster, and have decided to post the invitation for the party in a forum. There is a place you can go to and organize parties. Me-WOW! Catster has thought of everything.

So- the plans are in high gear now, and we are keeping busy. I will have to write again so that everyone is up to date on the plans! More later-

Two weeks later...

It is exactly two weeks today since we lost our darling little Buster. It's still so hard to believe he is gone. Slowly, we are picking up the pieces of our broken hearts and life must go on.

This has been a busy two weeks for us. We have been very hard at work to fix up Buster's page so that no one will ever forget him. I want to thank all of our wonderful new friends at Catster who have been willing to share the names of web sites where we can get cool backgrounds and graphics. And, I want to thank all of the wonderful kitties out there who have meowed and reached out their paws in friendship to my sisters and I. Some of our sites still have some work to be done, but I am excited about how much better the pages look today.

So- thanks to you all, and Iwill meow again and keep you posted on our progress.

A great sadness

Today I have mixed emotions. I am happy to have a Catster page and for the ability to make new friends. I know that what has prompted me to do this, is the death of my beloved brother, Buster.

Buster had a rare disease, and we awoke yesterday morning to find him near death. We rushed him to the hospital, but they could not save him. He came home with mommy and some pain medicine, and died in our mommy's arms early last evening.

Words can not express how sad we all are. Buster was so full of life, and so young. He was a muscular Bengal, and a real stud (even though he was my brother). It's hard to imagine any kitty so strong as he to be so vulnerable. Now he is gone and there is a big hole in all of our lives. His charm and most of all his big heart have endeared him to all who knew him.

He will be missed, and we will never forget him. I hope that all his Catster friends will keep in touch with my sisters and I, because Buster would have wanted it that way. For that reason, I dedicate my Catster page to the memory of this extraordinary cat we knew as Buster.
