My Part time job

I have been working a part time job. The pay isn't so great but the benefits are pawsome!

Every morning right after breakfast, I go downstairs to the terrace level of the house where the cattery kitties live and start my work day. The furrst thing I do is walk around and say good morning to everyone and purrform a thorough inspection of the premises. Next, I give some head bonks to a few of my favorite girls and then I inspect all of the food and water bowls to ensure that our quality control practices are up to standard. Next, I usually try to fit in a short nap before going back upstairs for my mid morning coffee break. Later on, I go back downstairs and check on everyone's well-being again before hunkering down for a couple of hours to purrform a quality control assessment of the cat tree.

Like I said, the pay isn't much to meow about but I get to make lots of pawsome furrends, enjoy free pawking, free medicat benefits, a free daily massage, plenty of time off for R&R, and all the kibble I can eat.

Annifurrshery

We are very happy to have Meowmy and PawPaw back home again. They went on a little "getaway" to the Great Smokey Mountains to celebrate their 35th annifurrshery. They stayed in a cozy cabin and spent some relaxing time reading by the fireplace, playing pool, and going shopping. We stayed home with our sweet auntie who took excellent care of us.

Today it is windy outside and there are leaves flying all over the place! It is fun to look out the window and watch them. Meowmy says purrty soon there won't be any leaves left on the trees and they will all be in our yard. That means PawPaw will be out there with his big rake making piles of leaves that would be awfully fun to jump into but we aren't allowed to go outdoors unless we are in our stroller. Oh well, Meowmy says she knows what is best for us and we have to trust her.

We want congratulate all of the Caster Coolest Cat finalists! There are some really pawsome pictures of pawsome kitties in each and every CATagory. We would have been very honored if one of our pictures had been chosen, but we are indeed very happy for our new furrend, Cafe Mocha Valencia, who is a finalist in the Costumes and Shades CATagory. We are already looking forward to next years contest. It was a lot of fun!

Catching up with stuff

First I have to say congratulations to my furrend, Prissy's brofurr, Harley for being selected as DDP today!

It seems Harley and Teddy decided to take a little unscheduled outdoor field trip to the great outdoors the other day and almost gave their Meowmy a heart attack. I'm glad those two didn't wonder off and get lost that would have been a CATastrophy! Phew! I love happy endings.

Well, PawPaw is back down in Florida again. Our grandpaw is having a CATaracz removed from his eye so Paw Paw is there to drive him around and see that he has what he needs.

On Sunday, Meowmy and Auntie went to a big Cat show in Duluth and saw a lot of neat cat things. They even brought us home some new toys to play with. There people there from the Good Mews Cat Shelter and they had brought along a very special guy named Alvin, who my Meowmy and Auntie totally love because he is so sweet and furrendly at the shelter when they volunteer to work there. Alvin likes to follow them around while they work. Meowmy really would like to adopt Alvin but she knows that we already have a very large cat family and it wouldn't be fair to him or to us. She was sad because Alvin didn't get adopted again and was going back to the shelter. He is a beautiful American Bobtail type kitty. He has a good home at the shelter but I bet he would really like to have his very own purrson. Do you know anyone who would like to have Alvin? I'm going to keep him and all the other shelter kitties in my purrayers.

Well, I have to go to work now. It is my day to supervise the household staff. (giggles) that would be my Meowmy!
