Thank you, Catster HQ!

We want to thank Catster HQ for decorating our pages with the purrty fireworks! We also want to wish everyfur kitty in Catsterland a very SAFE and happy 4th of July.

If you are an outdoor kitty we hope you will ask very pawlitely to be let inside the house during your neighborhood firework celebrations. Sometimes humans furrget that we kitties are afraid of loud noises and we will run away as fast as we pawsibly can! We have heard sad stories of some kitties getting lost furrever as a result of this.

Our family are all indoor kitties and we still like to run under the bed and hide when we hear those loud and frightening noises. Meowmy says living in our country is so wonderful because of the signing of the Declaration of Independence so we definitely have reason to celebrate the 4th of July, but we just want all of our kitty pals to be safe too.

Summer, Squirrels, Awards and Pawrayers

It is hot outside so we have to deal with watching the birdies and squirrels through closed windows in order to keep the cool inside the house. Momma and Auntie bought a new "squirrel proof" bird feeder for the deck but the those squirrels are sooo smart! They figured out that they could balance their weight on the side of the house or the banister so that only a little bit of their weight would touch the feeder so the feeding opening would not close on them!
We all went crazy inside the house, cheering the squirrels on!

We all missed Momma so much when she was gone for a week. We can't seem to get enough of her affection and she can't get enough of ours! Sometimes she will just stop whatever she is doing to sit and hold each of us and talk to us. We understand how busy Momma is so we really cherish our special times with her.

Auntie is going to a cat show in Tampa, FL this weekend. Our little pals *COLE* and *NICK* are receiving very special honors at an Award dinner so she wanted to be there to show our support. ConCATulations, Cole and Nick! You guys are pawsome and so very deserving of all of your awards!

We also are keeping our dear furrend, *ARYEH*close in our pawrayers. Aryeh has a liver disease and his recent bloodwork revealed that his enzyme levels have been alarmingly high. We love you, Aryeh! Pawlease get better!

My Momma and Me

Yesterday I walked into the pawder room where Meowmy was blowing her hair dry. I gave her one of my sweet voiced kitty greetings because that seems to "get" to Momma every time. Heh heh. She is such a sucker for my charms! Anyway, she scooped me up into her arms and carried me down to the living area level of our home. With me still in her arms, she plunked down in the comfy chair and held me close to her. She then started telling me how very special I am and how much she loves me. She just kept patting me and kissing my head, and hugging me close. She told me that sometimes she feels bad because she stays so busy all day that she doesn't always have enough time to just love me like she was doing at that moment. I was purring as loud as I could because it felt so wonderful to know that Meowmy has so much love for me and thinks I'm such a special boy.

Don't worry, Meowmy. When you get too busy and forget to give me extra cuddles, I'll remind you. I know you knead those cuddles as much as I do!
