Orange & White Tabby

Pestering her sister, Riley. Also, sleeping in the turtle pen. And playing with her My Little Pony.

Being held when she wants to play, not being allowed to look out the windows in the car.

Favorite Toy:
This little gold squishy ball, and the crinkly balls. She carries both around in her mouth. And she just loves her My Little Pony that she claimed from a shelf in my house.

Favorite Nap Spot:
Inside the turtle pen under the basking light.

Favorite Food:
Steak and cheese calzone. But she also licks every single plate or bowl I use.

Stealing things, like my glasses.

Arrival Story:
I have many animals. I brought a turtle of mine to a vet near where I live because I thought she had a broken leg. As it turns out, the turtle was fine, but while I was paying for the visit and the medicine for the turtle, I was looking at a pile of kittens having a nap in a pen next to the desk. There's nothing cuter than a pile of sleeping kittens. So I asked about them, and they told me that the kittens were about 7 weeks old. I asked "So they must be about ready to go soon." And the lady said, "They sure are." And I looked up at her, and said, "Like... how about now?" Sold. I picked Tess cuz she was the most orange, and she purred as soon as I picked her up. She was also the only girl of the litter. She came home with me and the turtle right then.

As it turns out, Tess and her littermates were found at about 2 weeks old in a big rubbermaid bin in a barn. Their mother had either abandoned the litter, or more likely been killed by another animal or by a car. So the little kittens were brought to the vet and cared for until they were old enough to be adopter out. Some of them had problems eating when they first came to the vet, and I believe one of them needed a feeding tube at one point. but they all survived and all were adopted out. And every time I go back to the vet, all the ladies at the desk oogle over her, knowing where she came from.
