Arrival Story: Naomi is a Domestic Short Hair Silver Tabby and her daughter is Rachel who is a Domestic Long Hair Patched Brown Tabby. Naomi was dropped off by someone when she was pregnant in 2005. An elderly lady fed her and she had kittens. The lady has disabled children and they were allergic to the cats so she put them outside. When the kittens got older she took all except Rachel to the shelter. In July 2006 she asked me if I could take two pregnant females but I had no more room. Both had their kittens the same day andboth mothers nursed all the kittens. I believe Robbie, Marnie and Casey are Naomi's because their heads and eyes are all shaped like hers and I believe Rocky and Frankie are Rachel's. Rachel was very attentitive to Rocky who didn't eat well in the beginning and Rocky & Frankie have almost the same face markings. Both have the same head shape as Rachel. When the lady said she couldn' t feed them any longer I went down and fed them. The kittens had eye infections, colds, ear mites and fleas so a vet I know treated them and when they were 8 weeks old I brought them home because they were literally sleeping on the damp ground. They had no where else to go and I knew they would never survive in the conditions they were living in. About a week later a friend of mine agreed to adopt both Rachel and Naomi and they have a very pampered life now and are together.
Bio: Naomi was so starved for attention she would literally sit on my knees and purr and knead my legs before she would even eat her food. She still likes to see me when I visit her and is getting tamer about letting other people pet her. Rachel was never held so she is more skittish. She does like to be petted and loves to play but will not let anyone hold her yet.
