Arrival Story:
Bo had a safe home, but was very lonely. He loved Mom and Dad, but he needed someone to play with. Dr. Pete, our vet, had some beautiful rescued kittens and Mom fell in love with me. I am so very gentle and I purr up a storm. Mr. Bojangles was smitten on sight. I became his darling and, since he had never seen another cat since his family was lost in Katrina, I was very special. Although nothing will ever come of our romance (Mom made SURE of that!) we are deeply in love.
Bio:
Mom named me "Miranda" because she used to be an Army police officer. She added to Miranda by saying, "You have the right to love and be loved unconditionally by a cat!" It;s a good thing Mom and Dad are so dedicated to us and our rescues. When Dad got his new job in Alaska, the move included ALL of us - 3 cats and 4 parrots - to our new home. Dad said to Mom "We made a commitment and they are family. Where we go, THEY go." And so we piled in the van and drove from Winston-Salem, NC a total of 10 days and 4,652 miles. We don't mean to brag, but we think we're loved!
