indoors Arrival Story: One of my kitties, Spike died very unexpectedly a few months ago and Tweak has been calling for a chase the kitty buddy ever since. I went to a shelter that my vet opened and found this little guy. I don't if he started out feral or not, but he is afraid to get picked up and is pretty skittish around people. He lived in the shelter since he was 8 weeks old (he'll be 2 in a couple of weeks). He was over looked by people because he didn't really interact with them. He does enjoy petting and belly rubs and will flip all over so you can pet every side of him, but he doesn't really relax. He will get happy toes, so I know he enjoys his petting sessions. It'll take a lot of time before he gets comfortable in his new home...something he has never experienced! And of course, he has to get used to Wiggy and Tweak. Five Things I Like About Spring:
1. The days are longer so I get to nap in sun puddles longer!
2. The sounds of chirping birds, though it's also frustrating because I
can't go outside and get them birdies.
3. It's time to open the windows and breathe some fresh air
4. Norway day is just around the corner, May 17, and that means PARTY!!!5. My sister Tweak gets extra silly so I get to play chase with her and
stuff.
Jarl and mommy came back from the vet and he has a mass the size of his head where his kidney should be. He's going in for an ultrasound so mommy can make an informed decision on what to do next. The vet said the ultrasound would not show anything good. I lvoe this guy, he is so much fun and I'll miss him so much.
So please, if you can, send some purrs his way. He really needs them. The weird thing is that right now he seems fine except for his yellow ears. He's playing Da Bird with mommy and me.
I love my new little brother, he's fun and he's nuts! And right now the insides of his ears are yellow and mommy's kinda freaking out. She's taking him to the vet today to see what's going on. The whites of his eyes look pretty white, so I think that's good. But, we're worried about the yellow ears. So, if you have a couple extra purrs, could you send them Jarl's way? Thanks!
