Wandering the Desert

Hi folks,

Pepper here,

I'm the Wanderfoot of the Lucerne Valley Group.

They loved me & let me be. I liked that. There was so much to go see & do in the desert. I liked the Pribbles. They were nice folk. But I loved to go
find kangeroo rats, & white footed mice in the desert.
So much to see. Mom said she was tempted to call me Snoopy cause I was.
True.
Glad she didn't though. To me, that's a dog's name.

Cat's see a lot of color, & the desert had lots of it. Sunsets were brilliant scarlets.

She got a horny toad once. Funny looking thing with bristles.
It ate bugs. Afraid I did get it in the end. Mom was sad, but said I was a cat, & it did get out where I could get it. She was smart that way.

I think she followed me a few times. I caught her at it once. she must have had some cat in her. She was curious too.

The Aquarium

I love fish. In the desert we didn't get much of that, just bites from Mom's tuna sandwiches.
Then she gets an aquarium. FISH!

So I tried to go fishing.

She cheated! She put a big heavy piece of plywood on it.

Phooey!
