Arrival Story:
This little girl was surrendered to the SPCA with very sketchy details. She was petrified and had to be 'captured' using a net. She was showing signs of fear aggression, although had never once attenpted to bite or scratch either one of us. We offered to rehab her and were given the opportunity to adopt her instead because of our volunteering.

Bio:
Ava has made great strides . She is purring now when petted. Even more impressive, she meows at you if you DON'T pet her right away. She even rolls over and exposes her belly. This is a HUGE improvement for her. She has trust issues, so she still doesn't do well being held but we can at least pick her up. We're keeping our paws crossed...

Major trust setback

Mommy did it now. We were going along nicely, getting along and being near each other with pets, scratches, belly rubs. Then she goes and grabs me, trying to put me in a carrier so I can go to the vets for shots. THAT DID IT! I ran around like the terrified kitty I was, ending up under the bed. Mommy was all upset and I was hyperventilating. I din't think I can be near her right now.
She didn't hurt me but she startled me and tried to put me in a carrier. That's not cool. The last time I was in a carrier, they scruffed me and gave me needles, poked and prodded me. I didn't like having my temperature taken or having my eyes, ears, nose and mouth checked. Listening to my heart was one thing but come on...

Okay, here goes:

1. My full name is Ava Marie Magoo (The family was calling me that since the day they picked my name!)

2. I am in love with Diesel!

3. I was captured by humane officers and freaked out when I got to the PSPCA. I bit 4 people and was listed as a bite case and placed on a state mandated hold for 40 days total!!

4. I was living with my family for months before Mommy could pet me or scratch my jawline.

5. I have a very rough, scratchy meow.

6. I am very kind and patient with our baby brother, Beau. I act like his momma!

7. When I use the litterbox, I only put one foot in the actual pan. The other 3 hold onto the edge of the box. MOMMY!!! Please! That's personal.....
