Where does the time go? Gem and I (and Tiger and Whiskey) celebrated our wedding annifursary this month. Gem whisked me away on a romantic weekend, (he's such a romantic!) and I still feel like a giggly schoolcat whenever I see him!
I just love him so! I am the luckiest kitty ever! I love you Gem! Sometimes it feels like yesterday when we got married. We all just celebrated Shelby's bridge annifursary, even though his mommy misses him so, we are sure happy he is here with us. His namesake "Shelby's Eden" is such a beautiful place, we all know that he had a paw in making it a success!
With Valentine's Day soon upon us, I remember when I first saw Gem, at Tabby's wedding to Jasper, we were helping Gem and Whiskey with Farley, and when we looked into each other's eyes, there was just something that "sparked". I had heard mommy say that many times, when she talked about our daddy, but I never understood until I met Gem. All those years wondering if I would ever meet my own soulmate, it took until I came to the Bridge until I met him. I know that makes mommy furry happy, knowing that I had someone that loves me as much as she did.
I better get going, I need to make dinner, teencats sure eat alot!
Love,
Sami

Hi!
Here at Rainbow Bridge, we are counting down the days until Santa Paws comes! As the little kits purr with excitement decorating the tree, and helping the mommy and daddy cats wrap presents, you can just see the love that fills their eyes.
When Catsmas Day comes, we all gather and hold paws and say a purrayer to our furmilies left behind. We wish to let our furmilies know just how much we miss them and love them.
Enjoy the holiday spent with your loved ones and laugh and share memories from Catsmas' past and make new memories that bring a smile to your face. Remember those, who are no longer with us and have a moment of silence.
Most of all, be happy with yourself, with those you love and enjoy the holiday!
Meowy Catsmas and Happy New Year!
Love,
Sami

A note from mommy ~
Dear Sami,
Seven years ago today, I said good-bye to my sweet little girl. You were suffering from mammory cancer and had suffered a stroke the week before. All your life, you were so scared and timid, yet in your last days, you found the strength to be strong - for me. I loved you from the first moment I saw you, and from that day on, I did everything possible to make you safe and loved. When you met your daddy, you made sure he would never hurt me, or you, or Tiger and when you gave me the paw of approval, we all moved forward to our happy family.
I miss you so much. I miss feeling your little body, all cuddled up next to me under the blankets in bed, purring yourself to sleep. I miss seeing those big green eyes looking at me with all the love you had. I miss seeing how you always made sure that daddy left the door open just a crack, so if you wanted to run back in the house you could. I miss seeing you and Tiger curled up together taking a nap on the bed. I just, just miss you so.
I know you watch over me from heaven, and sometimes, I can hear your purr and your quiet meows. You always live in my heart, and I will never forget you - my little Sami Boo.
Love,
Mommy

Hi Mommy,
I just want you to know that I'm with you today. I know how hard today is for you. Even after all these years, it's still so hard for you, knowing that your mommy is here with us, as an angel.
Grandmaw is always with you, through good days and bad and she is so proud of you. Just like me and Tiger, we may not be with you on Earth, but we are always with you, in your heart.
Try and remember all the times you spent together, how she made you laugh when she did all those silly things, how she taught you to put others first and how much she loved you.
Look for the butterfiles she is sending to you today, to let you know that she is always here.
Loving you,
Sami

Hi Daddy!
Happy Father's Day!!!
Today, I want everycat to know just what a great dad you really are. You see, for those that don't know me, I almost didn't make it. Where I was born, the owner of the property, was trying to "get rid of me". Luckily, the man who was married to my mommy at the time rescued me. (mom says that was the only good thing he ever did)
Anycat, I was deathly afraid of men and had a rough life. Well, that mean man is gone and things certainly got better.
Daddy was patient with me and let me take my time to trust him. He knew I was timid and scared and he loved me anyway. When we'd all go outside while he cooked on the grill, he always left the door open - just a crack - so if I got scared, I could run in the house. He let me drink water out of his cup. He let me cuddle up on his lap when I was ready.
I love my daddy with every fur on my body. I knew he would take good care of us, and especially mommy. Thank you daddy for giving me the best 6 years of my life. I'm just sorry that I didn't know you from the furry beginning, but better late than never and I'm glad I had you with me during the last years of my life.
Thank you daddy for being the best daddy ever!!!
Love,
Sami

Hi Mommy,
With Mother's Day on Sunday, I know how difficult this day is for you. I remember when Grandmaw died, how upset and devasted you were. I cuddled up with you on the couch and tried to purr some kind of comfort to you. You held me close and cried into my fur.
In the days to come, you tried to find strength, tried to resume a normal routine, tried to cope with your loss. I hope I was able to help you with that.
I want to tell you Mommy, that we see Grandmaw all the time! She gives us treats and cuddles and plays with us until we see you again! I loved Grandmaw so much in life, and love her even more in heaven. She watches over you all the time. She is furry proud of you. She regrets that she never had the chance to tell you, but she knows that deep down inside you know that.
I too, want to honor you on Mother's Day. You were a great Mommy. You gave me comfort and security that I needed so badly. When I was scared, you talked ever so softly and held me close and I knew how much you loved me.
When I finally gave Daddy the paw of approval, you both gave me a wonderpurr life, until my time on Earth was over. I know that I always live on in your heart, and sometimes, Bella reminds you of me and that always brings a smile to your face.
I'm so happy that Bella and Tally give you and Daddy so much happiness and thank you for loving me so much.
Happy Mother's Day Mommy.
I love you.
Love,
Sami

Oh, my cat!
Catmas is only two days away! Where has all the time gone? Momma has been so busy on Earth, always trying to make everything purrfect, she's had no time for herself. Oh, mommy.
It is that time again, to play our All I want for Christmas game.....
1. For each of us to take a moment out of our busy lives to reflect on something that is important.
2. To help shelters that need our support so each of us can find a furever home.
3. The economy to get better so people can find a job and live comfortably again.
4. To stop the violence in this world. Violence doesn't solve anything.
The most important thing....
5. To share love and happiness to each and everyone you meet.
It only takes a moment to smile at someone or say hello or thank you. Those small gestures can make the difference in someone's life.
Wishing all my furriends and their furmilies a furry Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Love,
Sami

To Mommy,
It is my six year annifursary at the Bridge. Please don't be sad. I know you will look at all my pictures you have of me all over the house and probably shed a tear or two.
Please don't. You and Daddy gave me a wonderpurr life, Mommy. You know you did. It's not your fault the cancer came back so fast. It was just my time to go. In your heart you know that.
I know you miss me, but I do see that Tally reminds you of me, and Bella acts a little like me. I know that brings a smile to your face whenever one of them looks at you the way I used to, or plays like I did.
Just because I am not with you, I am always with you. Always. Whenever Tally comes and cuddles with you in bed, I know you know that I have Tally do that.
Don't be sad, Mommy. I am the luckiest kitty. You gave me a warm, comfortable, loving home. And I have that now too. With Gem, Cheddar and GT.
Look to the sky, Mommy. You will see me.
Loving you always,
Sami
