....well last night my brother moses and I were sitting in the lounge when we noticed a pair of eyes peeking through our door. Then a paw started tapping at the catflap. We both rushed over to investigate and growled at the cat that was sitting there. We have to protect our Mummies and our home! It was very thin and quite scruffy and it looked a bit frightened which was good because it proves that we are the boss cats on the block. But Mummies told us not to growl and hiss because it was hungry and lonely and just wanted to be our friend. We weren't sure especially when Mummies gave it some of our biscuits to eat outside, but it said thankyou very nicely and even purred a bit. We went outside and sat with the new cat. It won't tell us its name because it is still a bit frightened of us but we played with it today and I think we are going to be good friends! We have decided we don't mind Mummies giving it a bit of our food as we have plenty and it is so hungry and thin and we are very well fed.
Today it came to visit us again but it still doesn't come very close although we did all sit together for a little while. Then Moses and I went off exploring in the bushes and trees until another cat with multicoloured fur tried to chase us away. He was a nasty cat and tried to scratch Moses but I made sure my brother was ok! I made the other cat stay up a tree until Moses was safe inside. Mummy said I was a good girl for looking after my brother and gave us both big cuddles.
Now we can't go outside for a while because a big dog is barking and chasing the birds and Mummies say it's not safe out there. It's ok though because we are both tired from our adventures this morning. If I wasn't so.....*yawn*.....sleepy....*purr*....I'd chase the dog away too. I'm not frightened of dogs, they are just big stupid bullies here where we live.
