Arrival Story:
Betsy lived at a shelter for several months before going into foster care in a home with several other cats. At the shelter, she embodied the typical calico persona...a total diva...and was not afraid to let you know it. Now after a short time in foster care and in a home environment, she is blossoming into a wonderful girl. She has been getting along with the other cats, living among the general population and has been enjoying human attention. She would like to have a home of her own, however, preferably without children, where she can adored. Her foster mom doesn't think she would do well traveling big distances, so somewhere in the Chicago area would be best. She apparently is not fond of dogs.

Bio:
At the shelter, we learned that Betsy can be a bit swatty and nippy, like most cats, when being coerced into doing things she is not in the mood to do, and her mood can change rather quickly. She is mellower at her foster home.

Just checking in to say I really, really love my new home! I let my mommy carry me around (something I don't let just anyone do) and we just get a long great. She totally understands my quirks and rules and I have a nice soft bed to sleep on and absolutely no other cats to share ANYTHING with!

So, Thanks again for all the purrs and good wishes.

Guess what every cat!?!?!?!
I got my own home!!! Just in time for Christmas. I am an only kitty and I love it this way. I live with a really nice woman who appreciates my calico-ness! I have a nice warm bed to sleep on, a nice person to snuggle with and lots of room to roam, explore and call my own!!!

It's going to be a wonderful rest of my life!!!!!!!

Purrs,
Betsy

What I want

Dear Diary,
I have been living at my foster home for a few weeks now. There are a lot of cats living there with me and I guess that's OK. But you know what? I really want a home all to myself. Just me and my new mom/dad and maybe kids over 15 who can respect and appreciate my personality.
I believe I've mentioned before that I know what I want and when I want it...and that I don't always feel I should have to tell you ahead of time. I don't always want to be a sweet, little, lap kitty. That's fine sometimes, but other times I want to sit and watch you do my bidding. You folks out there know what I mean?
I really don't think I want to live with dogs either.

I sure hope there is someone out there with room in their home and heart for a diva calico girl cat like myself.

Betsy
