Arrival Story:
Annabel was my grandparents' cat when they had to go into assisted living. She moved into our apartment for a few months, and then we arranged to buy my grandparents' house so she got to "come home".
Bio:
Because she was used to living with older people who were set in their routines, she could be quite crotchety at times. We succeeded in loosening her up a little, but she remained a fusspot and easily annoyed. We had to have her declawed after she seriously scratched our newborn infant - I don't believe in routine declawing, but she walked up to his infant seat and smacked his face without provocation, so it was a "kid's safety comes first" sort of decision. She died in her sleep one night in early 1991, apparently of heart problems.
