indoors Arrival Story: I was rescued by a lady who volunteers to T-N-R (trap-neuter-return) and maintains several feral cat "colonies" in our area. I was just a kitten when this lady saw me in a parking lot near where other stray cats are fed. I was limping and this lady thought I was terribly injured (it looked like I had a broken or sprain leg or foot). This lady waited many hours near a baited trap, and then, I finally hobbled into it! She immediately took me to my vet for examination of my foot and my first vaccinations. According to the vet, I was about 3 months old, and my injury was actually a missing foot! I had a huge callous on the tip of my stump and my limping was due to my off-balance gait! This lady planned on adopting me out to someone else, but she thought I integrated with her other 15 cats in the house very well, so decided to adopt me.
I'm a bit shy with strangers and don't like to be picked up and I'm still a bit on the feral side, but I do jump up on the bed every morning to welcome the lady (who I call Mommy now) and her husband (who I call Daddy now) every morning. And I also give them a big stretch and a loud purr. Bio: I am a very active and brazen 7 month old black domestic short hair. I love to stalk and attack all those other big cats that slink around the house (which they are not very thrilled about, to say the least). One of the very bigger cats, Ripstein, who Mommy said she rescued when HE was just a kitten, too (he's now 7 YEARS old and 18 pounds!) Rip and I have developed a relationship that's very sweet. Rip lets me lick him and then lets me wrap my paws around him and KICK! And he takes it like the little man he is. I just love that Ripster!
