Arrival Story:
Otis showed up on my front yard as a kitten. He actually stood up on his back legs and looked into my front window. My dogs all went crazy barking. I said, "If that kitten goes to the front door when I open it, I'll let him come in." I opened the door, and in he walked. He went right to my cat's food and started chowing down. It was clear that he was very hungry. He was a little guy and probably came from a nearby farm. He was never claimed and never left again.

Bio:
Otis is currently in poor health. The vets aren't sure if he has cancer, kidney failure, or something else. We don't really care. We are just happy for every day that Otis is here. We are happy that he is eating and drinking. He purrs and still likes to do all the things he has always done. He may be a bit skinnier and a little more fragile, but he's no less the kitty he has ever been. 3/28/07-I helped Otis leave his ailing body this morning. He's already sunning in Heaven, hanging out with D.J., Milo, Sasha, Sadie, and BoBo. I miss him, but I know I will see him again someday.

Otis's kidneys just couldn't hold out any longer. The fluids and TLC weren't enough anymore. This morning, at around 11 am, I had to help him transition out of his body and onto the next stage in his development. I can't wait to see him again. I know he'll be sunning himself in a field of clover with all of his dog & cat buddies. And what a greeter he'll be for the future pets who come there to wait for me!

I LOVE YOU, OTIE! FOREVER.
