indoors Arrival Story: I got Henry from a shelter 10 years ago. I picked Henry out of all of the cats because she was the only one that moved, or reacted at all - the rest were kinda limp and didn't move. Henry fought me when I tried to pick her up.
The shelter told me she was a little boy, had been neutered, and was around 6 months old. The vet the shelter told me to take her to confirmed this.
Henry wouldnt let me touch her for over a year, and it took until her next vet visit a year later that I found out she was a girl. I didn't find out that she'd never been spayed/neutered for another 6 years. Bio: Henry only has one kidney (her vet thinks the second never developed due to her poor treatment at the shelter). She has been in renal failure for 3 years now, and is still doing fine due to some experimental meds she's been on since diagnosis. She's my little miracle baby, and her vet is amazing.
