Bird on a Wire...

My mom's been talking about getting Doyle and I journals of our own for a while now. I'm glad to see she finally followed through!

Both of my parents have been away all day for the past 3 days. I hate when that happens. Then there's no one to pet me, no one to play with me and no one to feed me treats! Playing with Doyle is only fun for so long. He always naps in the afternoon and he always naps in my favorite spots. I am the oldest so I should get the choicest nap spots! Plus whenever we play rough, he eventually runs and hides. So what's a cat to do for entertainment?

I actually found something new yesterday. My mom put up this thing that lures unsuspecting birds over to our window. It's been hanging there all winter, but no birds. Yesterday a bright red one flew up right next to the window! Fortunately for that bird, I was curled up napping with my mom and didn't feel like showing him who was boss!

Mom told me this morning that Dad will be home tonight so he can play with me. I wonder if he'll get out the fish on a string. It's been a long time since we played that game! Guess I'll find out later!
