I am so sad about this catster news. I want to take this time we have left to say goodbye to all of our furriends that we have met here.

It has been so good to get to know all you great kitties and your pawrents. We have had a lot of fun going to pawties and playing around. We also appreciate the love and support that was shared between friends.

That's all I can say for now....

Until we meet again..... xoxo

Thank you!

It's been 24 days since my Meowmy had her back surgery and we are very slow to get back to everyone who has sent my sister and I such nice rosettes and hot dogs, hamburgers, ice cream and tulips in celebration of summertime and other things.

We also want to thank all of the get well paws and messages for my Meowmy.

This is just a general thanks for now. When Meowmy can spend more time at the desk to type for us, we will get back to everyone individually. We just wanted to let everyone know that we love and appreciate you all furry much!

Love always,

Thank you for celebrating with me! (updated)

No. I'm not happy. It's been a sad few months lately.

I recently found out that one of our old friends, Sparky Diamond Ham lost her Mama-Kat and 3 of her siblings a few months ago.

Then Calvin took his journey to the bridge.

And our friend Goldie made her journey to the bridge.

Then sweet Hannah from the Texas Wild Bunch sadly reported to us that 2 of her brofurs Riley and Harry both made their journey in December.

Then came 2010 - a new year - a happy year ahead.

Rocky Ann lost her courageous battle with CRF and made her journey.

Alfie Sir Kneads-a-lot made his journey after an accidental fall.

Fiesta Cat became tired after 23 years on this earth and made a gentle journey.

and today, on the Birthday of 2 sweet angels, Ashley Grimalkins, the love of my life and my husband, and Sweet Angel Sydney Rose, my angel friend forever, Comes the sudden loss of sweet Moonshadow, another family member of Ashley Grimalkins.

I know there are so many others who have made their journeys that I didn't know, and that saddens me too. That there are so many catsters grieving and hurting. I purr for all of you and your families.

And for some who are taking a break or stepping back for a while, I will miss you. Every kitty who we have met here has touched our lives in some way, but we know things move and change, and that's ok. We completely understand. You will always be in our hearts and we send you gentle hugs.

I think that's all I have to meow for now, and I know I haven't meowed in a while. But I am still here. And I wish everyone a better year, full of love, peace, health and happiness. We Love you!

Sweet Goldie

I am so saddened to hear that our friend Goldie has gone to the bridge.

We have been friends with Goldie and her sister Callie since we first joined Catster. Callie and Little-One became friends, then Goldie joined later on. We have gone to some pawties together and had a really good time. Most of the time, Goldie needed to be carried home after having just a little too much fun (not that there's anything wrong with that! MOL)

She was a gentle soul and was always in a good mood. I know her sister Callie misses her, and didn't leave her side when she was sick.

We love her and her family, and we send our deepest purrs to her Mom & Dad and Callie Rose.

Sad purrs,

Thank you *blushes*

I Believe In Angels

I believe in angels. There are so many of them here on catster, and so many that we don't know from here, or have never met. I believe that everyone we meet is brought into our lives for a reason. Every star represents a beautiful spirit.

Once upon a time, there was a sweet kitty named Feldspar. He was born on a farm. One day, his MamaCat was moving herself and her babies to a different spot. Something spooked the MamaCat, and she couldn't come back for her little boy Feldspar.

So one day, a nice lady was outside and heard "Mew...Mew...Mew". It was Feldspar. Needless to say, he was immediately adopted by the nice lady. He was very little, and wouldn't drink from the bottle. The concerned lady took him to the vet and they coaxed him and taught him how to drink from the bottle. The nice lady took him home, bottle-fed him, kept him warm, and loved him. He was doing really good.

Then some days later, little Feldspar wasn't feeling so good. The nice lady was now a worried lady, and took him to the vet again. Sadly, little Feldspar was not strong enough to fight whatever was going on in his little body. While the vet was treating him, he left the earth and journeyed to the bridge.

Feldspar was "sent" to the nice lady for a reason. It was for the nice lady to love him, and for him to know he was loved in his short lifetime.

So, when you look up and see the stars in the night sky, and a twinkle in the moonlight, please close your eyes, and say a little purrayer for Feldspar, and remember all of the angels in your life.

The nice lady is my Auntie Brenda, and I love her.

An open letter to my Husband 8/8/09

My Sweet Ashy,

Has it really been a whole year since your spirit soared into the heavens?

Is it really a whole year since you won your battle over your sickness?

Somehow, to me, it doesn’t feel that way. As much as I miss you, I can feel your love and connection we share every single day. I sense you watching over me and visiting me in my dreams. My Mom says I sleep differently these days… more comfortable, more relaxed…. She says I smile when I sleep. She doesn’t know it, but sometimes you are there with me. She just can’t see you. (sneaky!)

You give me such comfort. From the day you took flight, I knew that you were well again and can do anything and eat like a king! I am not sad when I think about us. I am so happy and blessed that we had the chance to be forever bonded in love, and we made the most of it! With the support of our families and friends, we took that leap, and I have no regrets. You were always the gentleman, and I promise to be forever true to you and your memory. I am proud and honored to be your wife!

I have great comfort in our memories. I also have great comfort in knowing that you had the best of everything being with your Mom. She gave of herself so tirelessly, and loves you more than anything. More than that, she was strong enough to give you what you asked of her. I want to tell her that she is amazing and I love her very much!

So yes… it is a year ago today since you have made the journey. This is not a day of sadness, but a day to celebrate you and the wonderful spirit that you are. I am hoping that your friends and your loving family and especially your Mom can be comforted by your memory and spirit the way I am.

Until we meet again ~ I love you with all my heart and thumbs forever and ever!

Love always,
Your Wifey-G
