The Rules

1. I have a missing toe on one of front paws.

2. I don't like to be picked up and will run if I think someone is coming to pick me up.

3. I have a pellet under my fur on my back. (Someone must have shot me, OMC!)

My Vet Visit!

Yippee, I gained 3 ounces since Monday and I haven't had a syringe feeding since Tuesday. I am totally eating on my own now. The vet gave me a clean bill of health and said there is no reason for me to not do the things that I have always done. It has made my mommy very happy. Well just wanted to share that bit of good news. I'm off to see if I can get my mommy to let me go outside now. Meow!

My Mommy Got Mad

Well I did it last night. My mommy got mad at me. I MUST be feeling better because I snuck outside and caught a baby rabbit and brought it to our back porch. She was not happy that I caught a baby. Luckily for me it was still alive. Daddy picked it up and brought it back to the woods in the back of our house. Mommy made me come back in the house and no matter how hard I tried, she would not let me go back outside. I don't understand why they were so mad. I only wanted to bring them a present.

Day of Celebration!!

I have made my mommy so happy. I am finally starting to eat on my own. I guess I got tired of that yucky syringe being stuck in my mouth. Yesterday, I even was waiting for mommy to get up so I could eat. I was sitting by her bed and as soon as she got up, I zipped to my food bowl so I could eat. Today I even ate at my bowl several times on my own. I guess I have finally put my big kitty pants back on. I have not had any syringe feedings today and hope that I don't have to have anymore of those. I have to go back to the vet Friday to be weighed. Need to make sure that I am not losing weight. I thank each and every kitty that has sent me rosettes and/or puuurrrayed for me. Ya'll are the best friends that a kitty could ask for.

Yucky syringe feedings!

I was able to go home Tuesday afternoon from the vet. I still wasn't eating real well, but Doc thought that once I got home I would start eating again. Well he was wrong about that because I didn't eat Tuesday night and Wednesday morning I only licked my food and that was it. Wednesday afternoon I got carted back to the vet so he could show my mommy how to feed me with a syringe. They talked about a feeding tube in my neck. OH NO! But they decided to try the syringe in my mouth first. That has worked really well so far. Today is the first day in a long time that I really had good food in my tummy. I did pick at my dry cat food a little and maybe ate a few morsels. I also ate a few dry kitty treats that my mommy gave me. I wanted to go outside today, but my mommy said I can't go outside until I start eating again on my own. So please keep puuuurrrrraying for me to get my appetite back so I can go outside. I so miss the fresh air and the sunshine. I also wanted to thank everyone who has been puuurrrraying for me. I know that all those purrs and good thoughts have really made a difference. Well it's bedtime now. I'll be meowing at ya'll later!!

My Progress

Last Friday I had to go back to the vet. I still was not keeping down my kitty food and things just weren't really getting better. I had an x-ray and they found my bowels all stopped up. The doctor man figured this was probably my problem. I had an enema(that was great...let me tell ya) and after finally passing everything I still really didn't feel better because now I was not eating. I guess I had been through so much and was just exhausted. The doctor man kept me at the hospital over the week-end to put me on an IV to rehydrate me and give me some nourishment. On Monday morning, I did eat a little bit of food and the vet told my mommy I was really vocal. So hopefully this means that I might be getting a little better. The doctor man said I may be able to go home tomorrow. I hope so, because I am so tired of being stuck in this cage and just want my nice, comfy house. So please say lots of puuuurayers for me to be able to come home.

It happened!

Well, it happened today!! I had to go to that doctor man that pokes and prods at me. My tummy wasn't feeling better after all and I just didn't feel like eating like I use to. And you can see from my pics that I really like my groceries; so it is not normal for me not to eat. Sure enough, when I got there, that doctor man started really ticking me off. I was not a happy camper not one bit. Then he wanted to put a needle in my leg to get some blood and you can guess that I really came unglued. I was so bad they even had to give me some happy air that really made me sleepy just so they could get some of my blood. Then they brought me back to my mommy and I could hardly stand up I was still so sleepy. Well, the doctor said all my tests came out good and I didn't have a fever or anything. He thinks I might have eaten something not good for me and it irritated my tummy. Now I have to eat this special kitty food for awhile and stay by myself in the washer room until all this goes away. The doctor man doesn't want me to eat the kitty food that my sister is eating or use the same kitty box. My mommy has to give me some yucky medicine also. Man life is sure tough being a kitty. Please say a prayer for me so that I can come out of the washer room and be with my family.

A Horrible Week-end

Today is Monday and I didn't have a great week-end at all. All week-end my tummy didn't feel good and it made my mommy really worried. Saturday she saw an article in the newspaper about all kinds of kitty foods that might not be good to eat. How some kitty's got really sick from eating it and some even died. They had to take them out of the grocery stores. A few days ago, we opened a new bag of Purina Cat Chow and she was worried that maybe it might be a bad bag of food even though this kind of food was not on the list of bad food. But because I was sick for a couple of days, it made her concerned. My sister, Sylvie, ate the same food and she feels fine. So it must not be bad food. Good thing I feel better today, because my mommy was gonna take me to that doctor man that I don't like and he bothers me. He's always poking and prodding at me. Well, I better go now and return to my nap.
