A lot has happened

Well, since the last time I wrote anything, a lot has happened in our lives. Mom got us a stroller, and it is a lot of fun to be in it in the park. I hate the ride to and from the park, but once we are in the park, I like it a lot. There are a lot of interesting smells and sites to see. Mom hasn't taken us for a ride in a while - since the southern California fires. She said there was too much smoke in the air then, and hasn't had a chance since.

She left my brothers and I for a long time. We didn't even have our dog with us. She took her away too. Usually when she leaves us, at least our Papa is at home, but Papa was gone too. When she got back from deserting us, she hauled my brother and I off to see the V-E-T. She said I had lost too much weight recently (from 11 lbs to 8). I am not sure what they said, but I now get poked twice a day when I am eating (mom here, he was diagnosed on Friday with diabetes). I don't really feel the pokes too much - It just makes my skin twitch a little. I do seem to be feeling better tho. I think that is all that has happened recently. Chat again soon.

Hello Again

Wow did I get a good treat tonight - mom will often share dinner with me if she has little bits that I can eat. Tonight she had Yoshinoya and I got a couple of tiny pieces of the beef - yummy!!!! She offered some to my brother, but he doesn't like people food all that much. My sister (the dog) got to finish the rest of the rice. I got ham the other day too - Tavi only ate a couple of small pieces, so I got the rest of his share too. Cody doesn't usually eat people food - mostly because he is too afraid to come up to mom to get his share. When he does get brave enough, he loves it, it just takes a lot more coaxing than mom is usually willing to give (she says her arm gives out before he gets brave).

Mom will be home with us from work for another 3 weeks and I plan on doing a lot of cuddling with her.

Hopefully it won't be as long the next time.

Outside!

Well, if you read my brother's diary too, you would see that mom got us a harness and a leash so we can safely go outside. Mom tells me I am more adventurous than my brother. I actually decided to do a bit of exploring. In our yard, I pretty much just sat in the grass looking around, but she took me down the street a bit, and I decided I really liked sniffing around down there. It was a lot of fun to explore.

In other news, mom feels like I have lost some weight, so I am getting a special treat. I get a whole jar of chicken or turkey babyfood. It is so yummy. I must confess, I tend to be a little bit of a piggy because I drip food onto her bed, her hand, the remote control, whatever happens to be in my way when I am getting my treat. Mom feeds me in bed so that my brothers don't hog it all. It is my special treat. She will let the others have a couple of licks too, but it mostly all mine.

Its Been a While

Sorry it has been so long since I have updated you on what we are up too. Mom had to go out of town during her vacation from work. She says she doesn't know why she calls it a vacation because she works harder in that week than she does the whole rest of the year.

Mom is a secretary at a middle school, and she is the person who coordinates and chaperone's the 8th grade field trip to Philadelphia, Washington DC, Williamsburg, Yorktown and Jamestown. She has done this for 8 years now. She really likes the trip and loves seeing the kids get excited about history.

We don't like it very much when she goes on the trip tho. We are stuck home without her. Our Papa looks after us, and feeds us, and cuddles us, be he isn't Mom. AND, we don't have our doggie to cuddle with either. Mom takes her out to a friend's house for the week because Papa works nights and sleeps during the day, and Camie needs someone who will take her outside to sniff around, etc. When Mom gets home, we spend as much time with her as we can - today was the first day that we semi left mom alone, and she has been back home for a week already.

Anyway, that is about what we have been up to.

No Temptations Tonight

Mom went out to dinner tonight to a sea food restaurant, and didn't bring us back anything, and we didn't get any treats either. She even almost shut my head in the outside door. She skootched me out of the way just in time. We did get some Temptations last night, and I wanted them all. I just love temptations. Mom kept moving me away from the bag, so she could give some to my brothers. Doesn't she realize they are supposed to be all mine??? That is the only interesting thing that has happened, except mom came home early from work yesterday because she said her back hurt. All I know is that it meant more time laying down with her.

My Brother

My brother's diary was chosen as diary for the day yesterday. Thank goodness he is so layed back, or he might have gotten a big head. That would look really silly, because if he head was big, his neck wouldn't be able to hold it up.

Mom took me for a walk in her arms last night. She says she likes to take us out at night because if she does it during the day we get scared of the cars that come down the street, and scratch her. She only lets us out if she is holding us, so we don't get to feel the grass between our toes.

She has also been very lazy about giving us temptations. I am going to have to start really begging for some.

Its been a while

Hi All,

It's been a while since I last wrote. Mom went back to work Monday after being off for 10 weeks with an injured back. She has been coming home and getting right into bed. She does get up to feed us and give us treats, but I miss having her around during the day for snuggles. The good news is, we got a little bit of roast beef tonight for a treat. YUM. We really like roast beef. Have a good weekend.

Boring Day

Not much happened today. Papa finished painting mom's room, and I managed to avoid the paint today. I wasn't quite so lucky the other day. I got a little bit of paint on my fur. It is not a lot, and it is just on the tips of my fur. Mom cleaned most of it off, but she didn't want to pull my hair out.

Brothers

We didn't do much today. Mostly just layed around doing nothing. My brother tried to chase me and beat me up today. Mom called him a bully and pulled me over to her to hide under the covers. I hid there for quite a while. To tell the truth, I fell asleep. I just love cuddling with her. I am curled up and sleeping with Tavi right now, so I guess all is forgiven and forgotten.

New Food

We haven't been liking our normal food lately, and we got some new food (Fancy Feast) in an auction we won to help some cats in need, that we really loved. So mom got us some to eat. We got some today, and scarfed it down. We cleaned our plates, so to speak. It was yummy. We also got some temptations, and Cody, the ghost kitty, actually ate some temptations from Mom's hand. He even licked the taste off of her fingers. It is a BIG thing when Cody comes close enough to even take a treat from a person. I don't know why he is so afraid of people, but mom just lets him be, and he is slooooooowly getting better about being around her and Papa (our grandpa).
