Arrival Story:
She's my dad's cat. She was a stray found at my dad's friend's house. She was so hungry that she was eating the bread thrown out for the birds. She let my dad catch her and now she's home to stay.

Calli is a wild child. She loves to sneak attack people and just plain attack. Playful attacking of course. She often gets into a little trouble, but she's still a kitten. She's learning what it's like to be in a family and to have a human of her own.

I have plenty to be thankful for this year.

I am thankful.....
for Pocono for teaching me other cats aren't so bad,
for my new playmate, Pocono,
for all our cool toys,
for all the good food,
for my human brother living with us,
and for all the love and health we share.

I hope everyone has a happy and safe holiday season. I hope our humans share a little of that bird with us! MOL

Surprising Sister

I have been becoming more like a "real house cat" lately. For almost a year I was never really affectionate toward my humans unless they had food I wanted. I only purrrred very softly, to the point they couldn't even hear me, if they gave me food. The only human I was really affectionate towards was my human brother, Rodney. He's only here from time to time. Lately, I've started to nap next to my human sister at the foot of her bed, and I have been rubbing against my other human brother's leg and purrrrring. This morning I finally purrrred for my human sister. Like every morning, I was laying on the floor between the door and the bed, and like every morning, she tried to pet me and say "Good morning, Calli." Today, I let her pet me and I purrrred away. I never let my humans pet me like that. I even followed her to the bathroom for more love and purrrring. Why are humans happy petting us and even happier if we purrrr?

I want to share all the reasons I am thankful this holiday season.

I am thankful for:
My daddy rescuing me from the wild
For now having a loving family
For never having to be alone again
To being able to live in a warm house this winter
For never having to live outside ever again
For having all the food I can eat and more
For my humans playing with me all the time
For all the toys they have gotten me
For my whole new life!!

I guess, out of the family, I have the most to be thankful for. I can still remember last Thanksgiving I was alone, cold and unloved. I was a homeless kitty. Now I'm glad I have a loving home. I hope all those homeless kitties find a home like this one.
