Arrival Story:
One day at a cross country practice, some boys from the team found a black and white kitten under the bleachers in the football field. In order to continue on with the practice, my coach asked me to put the kitten in the field behind the football field. (I was the manager of the cross country team since it turned out I had a bad knee) I then carried the kitten into the field and I felt terrible because he was starving. When I walked away from him I could not help it, but look back. It turned out that the kitten was trying to follow me, but the grass was too tall for him so he could not see me. I even felt worse because he started crying and it was so sad. Later on when I got home I tried to convince my parents to go back and get the kitten because I felt so bad for leaving him out there. That night my mom finally took me back to the football field. It turned out that he did not even move from the area that I dropped him off at. We were orginally going to take the kitten to the shelter, but my dad knew that he would have been put to sleep because he was extremely thin. After a week of feeding him he was four pounds and he had ear mites, flies, and ring worm, but in the end he turned into a healthy 16 pound cat. It is going on the third year that I have had this cat and I love him so much.

Bio:
Before my family rescued Lucky, we never really liked cats. We were always dog people, but after getting Lucky, I love cats. My family now has two cats currently living at the house. (the other cat is my sister's) I am so glad that my parents allowed me to go back and rescue my cat because life does not seem complete without him.
