Still playing around

This morning, 4 magpies were screeching on the deck. Then, a giant crow showed up and everyone got really excited. I ran like heck to a box with a hole cut in the top, and piled in headfirst. Unfortunatley, my large rear section got stuck outside, and the entire box flipped on its side from the sheer force of my assault. I did my best tazmanian devil act, and blew away the box bottom in my 60 mph fluffy escape.

Mom and Dad nearly dropped their coffee mugs watching this.

Quiet Sobbing

It was a tough year for catmom and dad. She lost her first abyssinian, Fraidy, and he lost his dog, Freckles. Both in May, so it's been real quiet and catmom can't seem to get over it. Catmom lays in bed with me on her chest and talks to me very quietly about lots of stuff I can't figure out. I'm glad I'm here for her.

I've been everywhere man!

Hello, I'm SUN BORN PAKA — F3 Chausie hybrid 12.5% wild, Born: March 17, 2002 and Re-homed to northern Nevada at age 17 mo (Aug 2003). My new parents didn't know what to expect with their first Chausie - especially a teenager. I was angry at first and didn't talk to them for a month. I watched them from afar, farted anytime they got close to me, and hid under everything I could find.

You see, I came from a cattery in Montana and went to live in Florida where I got to date and mate with girls (!), but I was too wild genetically to father kittens. The cattery in Florida found my new home in Nevada and I got another plane ride back across the Rockies....boy I don't like planes and everytime I hear one in the distance, my ears go flat!

At the new house, the food was so darn good and my abyssinian step siblings were so downright kind to me that I had to give in and show some love. I really loved the goat's milk - my new mom even warmed it up for me.

One day, new mom was paying bills and I couldn't resist all the rustling paper, so I jumped on her desk and slammed my head into hers. She didn't mind, so I kept doing it - all afternoon, all night, and all morning, and....well, ever since. I especially like dad's face because it's rough and I can get some scratching done. I let new mom take care of me completely, including grooming, and trips to the vet. She likes to carry me around the house and tell me where everything is, although I've already investigated the place thoroughly. I'm really happy now.
