I love to explore! Place, things, people, if it's new I want to sniff it and poke at it!

Don't know that I have any. I'm a really laid-back kind of guy.

Favorite Toy:
Sometimes mommy wears toys in her hair! They are little stretchy bands and I steal them out of her hair to play with. I LOVE them!

Favorite Nap Spot:
I sometimes hide from everyone by burrowing under the quilt on the bed. I don't know how they find me.

Favorite Food:

I can do calculus in my head, but can't write it down.

Arrival Story:
A lucky day at the local shelter adopt-a-thon

Hudson was brought home at eight weeks old, and while his adopted brother cowered, he systematically went to work exploring his new home. So we named him Hudson, after Henry Hudson. Afterwards, we found out some unpleasant truths about Henry Hudson, but what could we do?

In Which I Am Tagged

My friend Won Ton, who has a very interesting diary, tagged me. So here goes!

OK - Here are the rules of the game! Each player starts with seven random facts
about themselves. Cats who are tagged need to post in their Diary the rules &
their 7 pawsome facts. Then choose 7 cats to tag and list their names.

Don’t forget to purr them a pmail that they have been tagged and to read your
Diary or send them a fun Rosette announcing they've been Tagged!

1. I am very patient...I never bug mommy to feed me...then again, Gromit bugs her enough for us both.

2. Unfortunately, I got a couple of ticks on my neck a couple of summers ago. Where they got pulled off, my fur grew in white!

3. I love going out on our enclosed front porch! In the mornings I will cry in front of the door until I get let out.

4. I go CRAZY for feathers!

5. I love to snuggle with my daddy when he's sleeping.

6. I got asked to be in my pal Bear's wedding! I'm so excited!

7. I got named BCCP Cat of the Week this week and I am SO thrilled. I never had such an honor before!

Black Cats Crossing Our Paths named humble me its Cat Of The Day! I'm sooo happy and my mommy is proud! Can't wait to tell daddy!

My friend Snowy invited me to join this group a while back, and I was thinking of a surprise for her anyway! I'll post it here for all after I give it to her.

In Which I Finally Go Exploring!!!

Yes, it finally happened! I escaped and got to go roam outside ALL BY MYSELF! Finally, the ability to explore on my own, in the lovely river valley named for my brave namesake, Henry Hudson.

Mommy went to visit Auntie Tori and Auntie Beth this weekend. Daddy was doing yardwork and didn't know the latch on the screen door in back was broken. Upon testing it, I realized I could GET OUT!

Gromit was somewhere time to get him. Besides, he's not an explorer, he's an inventor and defender-of-the-house-against-birdies. I went out! Oh sweet freedom! The open air on my face! The grass before me! The chipmunks romping around unaware of the danger lurking in ME!

I roamed the yard and chased the chipmunks and even descended the forbidden hill into the woods. Oh, the sights and sounds and smells! I revelled in them. I know how Henry Hudson felt setting sail for the New World! But always a wise explorer I kept track of where I was and did not get lost.

I heard daddy tell mommy later what happened...he wanted to give us treats and only Gromit came running. He couldn't find me! Then he realized the back door was open and came out in the yard to look for me.

I heard him calling and I knew he would be worried about me. So I came back. And then demanded lots of cuddling and attention as a reward for being such a good boy and coming when called. But I know the truth...exploring is nice. Home is better.
