My gorgeous girlfriend Livia tagged me...sorry it took me so long to post this sweetie...mommy was busy!
OK - Here are the rules of the game! Each player starts with seven random facts
about themselves. Cats who are tagged need to post in their Diary the rules &
their 7 pawsome facts. Then choose 7 cats to tag and list their names.
Don’t forget to purr them a pmail that they have been tagged and to read your
Diary or send them a fun Rosette announcing they've been Tagged!
Livia wanted 7 facts she didn't know about me, but I don't know if there is that much she doesn't know! So here goes:
1. I have a mostly white tummy, except that there is a patch of tabby spots over my heart...mommy calls it my "heart spot".
2. I can stand up on my back legs very well...mommy and daddy call it my "meerkat imitation".
3. I can jump REALLY high.
4. My goal when I sleep with mommy and daddy is to take over as much of the bed as possible. And I do a good job.
5. I love it when my daddy scratches my ears, 'cause he rubs the inside!
6. I am bad at covering my litter box offerings. This has earned me the nickname "Stinky McPoop".
7. I purr a lot. Pretty much any time mommy holds me I purr, even if she's doing something I don't like, like trimming my claws.

Yay! My bud Stipey gave me a star! I'm so honored! His mom and my mom are both REM fans...in fact, Stipey's mom loves them so much she named Stipey after Michael Stipe! Stipey's got a great bunch of REM songs on his catster page...sometimes my mom listens to them on her computer at work.
Hailey pawmailed me yesterday that she is eating more, but I'm still purring really hard for her.
It's getting HOT here! The fun thing is the windows are all open and we can sit in the sills and sniff and see stuff. Hudson is all excited by the chipmunks in the yard, he thinks they are mocking him. I get excited when I hear birds on the roof, and I run to make sure they don't get in.
But it does mean it's not as comfortable to snuggle with the humans. I'm sleeping down at the bottom of the bed instead of next to mommy's feet. But last night I was in need of some lovin' so I just climbed halfway on mommy's lap and plopped down and purrrrred and mommy laughed.
Last night there was a VERY strange sound in the house...mommy says it was a cricket. I looked all over and can't find it. Mommy thinks it's in the basement ceiling.

I had to go to the VET! Everyone there is very nice. We were fussed over, and told we were pretty cats, and sweet cats, but it was still the vet and we hated it. We didn't even get to see our wonderful Dr. Bennett, 'cause she was out. We saw Dr. Zimmerman, who is a very nice man. Not that we liked it, but he can't help that, he's really a nice man.
Mommy was a little concerned 'cause I had three seizures (May 1, May 22, and June 1), but we already had the appointment for our boosters and regular checkups so she waited until then to talk to the vet about it. They agreed it was best to wait and see if they get more frequent before upping my dosage. Apparently seizure "clusters" are not uncommon in epileptic animals, and even though I had three during a month, I hadn't had any in almost five months before that.
One strange (but Dr. Bennett says it's not alarming) thing came up in my bloodwork...a high red cell count. The funny thing is, this happened once before, ALSO during a seizure cluster. Does anyone out there know if this could be related? Dr. Bennett says she sees it in dehydrated animals sometimes.

I should have known something was up on Friday when mommy was cleaning up the house and daddy was mowing the yard. There were people here for the holiday weekend! I love mommy and daddy. And I sort of like some of the other people who are here sometimes (except for some very small and loud humans who were here a few months back), but these were total strangers and they smelled different. Mommy said they were daddy's mommy and daddy, but I don't believe it. They are smaller than daddy for one thing.
Well, we gave them a lot of distance. Luckily they went away most of Saturday with mommy and daddy, and part of yesterday too. And they left this morning and mommy said they were gone. The sheets on the guest bedroom bed got taken off, and that's usually a good sign they're gone.
I hope there aren't any more of these "guests" for a while.

Mommy gets memes sometimes on her Live Journal! Now there's one for kitties, yay:
I have been tagged by Stipey and my new bud Jubilee AKA Miss Kitty Fantastico!
MY SEVEN FACTS:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1. I LOVE cheese. I can hear deli bags opening from anywhere in the house and I come running!
2. When I want mommy to get my breakfast I will stand by her on the bed and poke her face with my paw.
3. I'm usually shy of strangers, but in March when mommy's friend Aunt Linda was here I let her pet me and pick me up and wasn't shy at all.
4. Even tho' I'm afraid of strangers, sudden noises, and the vet's office, the vacuum cleaner doesn't bother me a bit.
5. I love having the white stripe on the top of my nose rubbed.
6. When I was a kitten I used to snuggle with mommy under the blankets on the bed, with my head under her chin.
7. I am named after the Wallace and Gromit dog, but since he's a really special dog, who is smarter than his human and can do electronics and fight crime and all, I don't mind.
Boo! I had another seizure Monday morning at 3:50 AM. I was at the bottom of the bed by mommy's feet and I fell off before she could get me on the floor. That's what mommy says anyway. I didn't get hurt tho'. And I'm fine now, tho' I was pretty tired out yesterday. Mommy took Hudson outside but let me sleep.
Mommy has noticed before that my seizures come in "clusters". I will get a few in a few weeks and then none for months. This happened before I was on medication, and happens now, even though the seizures are much less frequent. We're wondering if other kitties with epilepsy have this happen.
Well, as long as I have mommy and daddy and Hudson to take care of me, I'm fine. I'm a very healthy boy except for the occasional seizure. Wish every kitty was as lucky!
My new friend Beau Blue put a star on my page! How nice of him! We met in the special needs forum. Like me, he's a kitty who needs some special care and medicine, but gets well taken care of by his humans. And like me, he doesn't let his problems slow him down one bit! We're happy kitties!
Also, thanks to Luke and others for the rosettes I've gotten! Wow! Catster is sure full of nice kitties! So nice to spread the love around.
It's definitely spring! In fact the last few days have felt more like summer. Hudson and I once again have full control of the windowsills and can lounge in front of the open windows sniffing all the interesting smells. But it is hot, and we don't feel like running around so much.
Our house has a closed-in front porch with lots of windows, and it's mine and Hudson's favorite place! So much to see! But daddy has a tray of little plants that he's sprouting out there, and we got a little too curious, and pulled one out. So mommy tried to keep us out. But she is no match for Hudson's squeaky little meow! He can sound reeeeeally sad when he wants to. So she lets us out there still, but keeps an eye on us. And soon all the seedlings will be planted anyway.
Other than that not much is new. Daddy is all excited about something called the "NHL playoffs". Oh, and there's a really pesky dog that moved in next door (the same people still live there, we're not quite sure why he's there). He's in a kennel, and doesn't come to our yard, but he barks ALL the time. Mommy tunes it out but it drives daddy nuts! Dogs are so uncivilized.
Mommy went away yesterday and came back really, really late. Like midnight. Of course I was really happy when she came home, and I cuddled with her all night, but this morning I was very out of sorts.
I began my usual plea for food early, and mom wanted to sleep so bad she just got up and fed me and went back to bed. But I was all mixed up from her getting home late last night so I kept walking over her on the bed and begging for attention. It is, after all, all about me.
I can't help it if I get moody sometimes. It's my priviledge as a pampered feline, is it not?
Hello everyone! It's my kittiversary today! Three years ago Hudson and I came to live in our house with our mommy and daddy. We were eight weeks old and very tiny. The house was soooo big, but we've made every inch our own!
Had a bit of a bad start to the day. I have epilepsy and was sleeping on mommy's legs just after 4 AM when I had a seizure. They don't hurt, but they are really scary and confusing. Afterwards I sometimes don't know where I am or anything, and I try to run and sometimes bump my head. But mommy knew what to do. She put me on the floor and talked really soft to me and when it stopped she held me so I couldn't run and a few minutes afterwards I was fine. Mommy and daddy are always amazed how fast I'm back to normal (except that I'm always hungry afterwards...Mommy got me some kibble for that tho'). After the kibble mommy checked on me and I purrrrred a lot to let her know I was all better. She went back to bed and I napped too, and when she got back up all was well again.
So in addition to all the mad partying that we're doing, I'm also taking a few minutes to be very grateful. It's good to live in a nice place with people and a kitty-brother who love me. I'm so glad they give me good medicine that cuts way down on the seizures (haven't had one in almost five months!) and in spite of the occasional episode I get to have the best life a kitty can have! I have so much to be thankful for! Prrrrrrs to all!
Since Hudson and I were adopted, mommy and daddy don't know our real birthdays. But our "kitti-versary" is May 1...that's the day when we came to live with mommy and daddy! We were both only 8 weeks old and so tiny! We loved our new house and mommy and daddy right away.
Mommy showed me the calendar, and I see it's only a few days away!!! I wonder what we should do to celebrate?
