Sammy's Great (Scary) Adventure

It was a dark and dreary night. Daddy had a friend over to stay the night. It was sort of cool outside, so Meowmy had the windows open. This is before the new windows came to the house, so they weren't very good. Very old and nasty looking, if you ask me. Well, Meowmy and Daddy usually keep the spare bedroom closed so me and my bubbies don't roll around all over the guest bed. Well, when Daddy's friend Bob came over to stay the night Meowmy opened the window in Bob's room. She opened it REAL wide-like, so that the room would cool off nicely. Well, when Bob got there he opened the door to the room and left it. Meowmy gave us Tem-tay-shuns (very nice of her, and very fortunate, for the extra treats sustained my life for the night away from home), Daddy and his friend left to go "hang out," and then Meowmy started doing some chores around the house. She noticed the back room was open, so she turned on the light to see which of us kitties had wandered in and that's when she saw it... There was no screen in the window. What she would later find out is that Nigel and I had sat in the window to look outside and the screen just popped right out of there! So, there we went. We decided to explore! At first it was kind of fun, but then I noticed how dark it was. Everything outside was so big and scary. I don't like my house from the outside. And LOTS of people keep dogs in their yards - thankfully behind fences, but they still barked at me. It was terrible! I was out there on my own (Nigel left me when I whined too much). I swear it was forever (note from Mom: probably about 10 minutes) and I got lost! Then I heard Meowmy's voice. She sounded really upset, but couldn't have been nearly as upset as I was! She was calling my name, so I turned around and went back toward her. Then I heard Daddy and his friend. They must have come back for me! I was REALLY really scared, so I started calling to them, too. But then I got confused. They had these big lights in their hands and they didn't look like themselves. I was yelling at these people to get me my mom... I saw the window and knew I needed to get in there, but I couldn't jump it. And then the lady got ahold of me and I yelled at her, "PUT ME INSIDE... NOW!" Oh good... it was Mom. She hugged me and kissed me and told me never to get out again. (No worries there!)
But then Mom just threw me inside the door. *HMPH* And she stayed outside. I sat in the living room window and yelled at her - "Nigel's outside! He's out there! Don't forget him." And I called to Nigel, too. It was scary out there, and I knew he was still missing. So, I was helping find him. He put Mom through a lot more grief. He was gone for SO MUCH LONGER than me (another note from Mom: probably about 5 minutes), so I'm definitely the better son. Crazy times at the Bailey house!

OMC! Cat of the Week! ME??????

Oh wow oh wow! *Sampson keels over with the heart flutters, then regains composure* Mom just told me the news! She said she got on her email today and had lots and lots of messages... for ME! Efurryone has been so nice and is sending me lots of special concatulations gifts! I've never been honored for anything before and now I got the bestest gift of all: COTW! Thank you thank you thank you Catster and all my special friends. I will do my best to thank efurryone pursonally as soon as I can!

Hmphhh!!! What a weirdo!

I don't know what's wrong with that crazy Nigel since he came back from the hospital. He's acting all weird! He keeps trying to stand on top of me (YES, he really DOES!). He bites the scruff of my neck and won't let go (but he doesn't have many teeth!) He does this several times a day, especially at night, and I'm getting really sick of it. I keep yelling at him telling him to stop but he keeps doing it. He'll actually stand over me straddling my entire body. Can't a boy just get some rest! Doesn't he know how hard my life is???? Never thought I'd say this, but I think I want the OLD Nigel back!

Mom wanted to clean today, but I convinced her it's much more productive to be my typist. Lots of things are happening. The biggest is that we have a sister! Oh my goodness! She's big- well, compared to me. she's a DOG! I've never lived with a dog before, but she's actually nice to us. That meaning that she just totally ignores us and doesn't give us any trouble. That's something, I guess. I don't mind her. As long as it doesn't mean I'll get fed less, it doesn't bother me. Uh oh... Vet visit today.

Well, isn't this just purrfect? Nigel gets today's daily diary pick and gets all this good stuff and I'm the one going to the vet??? Craziness! Anyway, Mom has noticed a problem with my chin. I've been scratching it a lot and it's getting bloody, raw and scabby. So, she made me an appointment and we're going to see what's wrong with me. My cousin, Bisco, has feline acne. Mom thinks that could be what it is, because it's even in the same place. It's been getting worse over the past couple of days. I don't think it will be anything too bad, but it's still no fun going to the Dr.'s. Think of me today, kitty friends! Oh, and I just want to tell you what kind of FIEND you are worshiping as today's daily diary pick! He is a horrid little creature and a BULLY! I will be sitting on my tiger pillow next to Mom and he'll come up and start swatting at me trying to STEAL MY PILLOW!!! And then when I'm eating he'll come up and starting bopping me on the head to get me to leave. I think he's trying to usurp my throne as headmaster kitty. Well, it ain't gonna work, small fry! I'm on to you! Ok, off my soap box! Purrs to you, everycat!

New House

Hello, everycat! Sorry, you missed your chance to see Paul. Mommy took the video down so she could add my new song. Don't you like it? Once again, it's so ME! Although, a very sad me from before I met my family. I like it, anyway, though. I sat on my pillow the other night while she was changing my page. I called the shots, though, don't get me wrong. She is my Catster servant. I have some important announcements to make! First, I have been bestowed with the honor of being a Lieutenant with the Furry Federation. I am Counsellor Sammy. I have also earned the Purple Heart for all the bad things I've been through. I have to say, I do think I deserve that one. Nigel gets a purple heart, too, but he's just an ensign... he's too young and unseasoned to be a Lieutenant like me! Thanks, Areyel for the honor!
Also, we've moved into our new house, but I think Mommy's going crazy cause lots of things are broken. They've been nuts- bringing people with big machines. All these people did was swipe the carpet with their bit stick thingy's. Seemed a little useless to me. Then last night I went into the bathroom and there was Mom with her hand stuck down the toilet tank!!! Then she started screaming... cause she was happy. She just kept saying, "I fixed it! I fixed it by myself!!!" First of all... having your hand in the toilet isn't a good thing, and in my world... "fixing" is also a bad thing! Anyway, I like the house. It's bigger than what I'm used to. It still looks a little messy and not put together, though. Mommy says that she and Daddy are "working on it." Hmmm... Well, I have things to do... must eat and then go sleep with Daddy. It's been 2 hours since I slept with Mommy. Too long! *YAWN*

Yay Paul!

Ok, let's get this straight. Meowmy and I don't know this guy, but we say "4 PAWS UP FOR YOU!" Please watch the video meowmy helped us post to my site. It's Paul from South Wales on Britain's Got Talent. He really has so much heart and had all of us impressed. It looks pretty funny with 3 Kits and a goofy lady all sittin' around staring at the computer screen, but he had us cat-tivated for sure! We keep watching the video over and over just to hear that voice again! You won't be disappointed! And he's living proof, no matter what you want out of life, GO FOR IT! Don't put your dreams off, life's too short! Let's all be like Paul and gain that confidence that we need! I think I'm going to go work on my harmonica playing now... *ehem* Pardon me, good kitties...

I have a new page...AND a new brother!

What do you all think of my pretty new page? I'm Catster PLUS now and it's so exciting! I love it! I really love my song! It's so ME! As far as the new brother is concerned... you know I liked him from the start! He's really a good kid...needs a little training, but I'll get him whipped into shape. Hey, I did wonders for Teddy. Look at him now- a nice, respectful young catster who knows his place in this family: after me in line to the food. Well, Nigel doesn't eat with us because he has bad teeth. He gets special stuff...lucky little you-know-what! Mommy says I can't have special stuff because it will make my butt bigger! She probably wouldn't like it if I looked at her and said..."SO???" For now I will continue to sit at the door and whine and hope to break her down. We will see. Anyway, I need to get to bed! Enjoy my page!

I Miss Mommy and Daddy!!!

Hello fellow felines! I am distressed. Mommy and Daddy are busy getting our new place in order before bringing us over there. We are staying with Auntie Erin and Uncle Dylan and our cousins in the mean time. I haven't seen them in over a DAY! And I missed getting to sleep with Mommy last night. I know she was lonely without me since Daddy works nights and I can't wait to see her tomorrow (which is when they're taking us to our new home!) I even missed Mommy's birthday yesterday and I wanted to give her special birthday snuggles! I am nervous about this new place, though. Not quite sure how I'm going to like it.
I do have some really good news, though! I've lost weight!! I had to get my nasty shots at the vet the other day. I'm a really good patient, Mommy says, although I don't like to be held down. I squirm a little. They weighed me and I weighed 14.4 pounds! My last weight on record was 16.2! That means I'm making a lot of progress and Mommy is very proud of me. She said there's going to be a catnip party in my honor just as soon as we arrive at our new home. I'll just give her those birthday snuggles tomorrow!
