Am I wrong??????.....January 6th 2012 11:58 am[ View A Comments (6) ]
I kind of have a question I hope I’m wrong.........I invited one cat from You Tube but they declined because they were worried about one of the conditions for joining. Apparently it says...
dood !!! hope all is well down under N ewe N yur familee R livin large and in charge and R startin de mew yeer off happy, healthy N blessed... :) N noe, ewe iz knot wrong; though we trooth full lee dont remember de inz N outz of when we joined; az far az de above clauz.... hhhhmmmmm mite be time ta reely start using imikimi full force on everee thing; knot just R bak grounds but on R pick sures two.... hope ewe haza pawsum evening...happy summer buddy tho its reeely been a mild winter heer..sew far !! peace out N rock on :) YouTube has pretty much the same clause 6. Your Content and Conduct For clarity, you retain all of your ownership rights in your Content. However, by submitting Content to YouTube, you hereby grant YouTube a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicenseable and transferable license to use, reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works of, display, and perform the Content in connection with the Service and YouTube's (and its successors' and affiliates') business, including without limitation for promoting and redistributing part or all of the Service (and derivative works thereof) in any media formats and through any media channels. You also hereby grant each user of the Service a non-exclusive license to access your Content through the Service, and to use, reproduce, distribute, display and perform such Content as permitted through the functionality of the Service and under these Terms of Service. I am really tired of the roll-over ads - they take up the whole page if you accidently go anywhere near them! Thanks Da tabs, I hope it's all innocent and nothing to worry about. Thanks Nuk Anuk for pointing out it's the same on You Tube. It must be the standard clause, that's a bit of a relief. And Thanks Jezebel, your right about them. I'm not sure what Catster can do as I know they need to get some funds in to run the site. I sure wish they were nicer though. You are right, we don't see the ads ever but some newbies to computers wouldn't know how to get rid of them. You are so right. And the clause is spooky but I would surely hope they wouldn't do anything like that. It's probably just basic mumbo jumbo. Sorry bro, We missed seeing this. Don't have much to add. As Zach said it's probably standard mambo jumbo. As for ads, the only way we can fight them is with Ad Block Plus and use Firefox as a browser. I can't worry about newbies.Once upon a time we were all new here. If you really want to be a part of this pawsome community, you learn, I guess. |
