indoors Arrival Story: Dewey showed up on our doorstep in the summer of 1991, and slowly moved herself indoors after we failed to find her owners. The vet told us that she was about 9 months old at the time, but she'd looked younger since she was so small from living "in the wild" for so long. Bio: Dewey would follow me around the house, and be waiting at the front door to give me "kisses" when I returned home from work. She also responded and came running any time I would whistle for her.
In mid-May of 1999, Dewey was diagnosed with severe renal failure; and even with the most aggresive treatments, her prognosis was not favorable. After a heart-wrenching week of decisions, Dewey was put to sleep on May 28, 1999 -- I still miss her with all my heart. I've Been On Catster Since:
