My vet visit today

Another trip to the vet today, this time my bloodsugar was even lower than last week-54 and this is on just 2 units of insulin. My goodness, just a couple weeks ago it was over 400. I've responded well to being back on the medicine and now go down to 1 unit twice a day. We'll see what happens on that dose and go back in a week. Mom just wants me to feel good and enjoy life, I have felt pretty well but those numbers jumping around are worrisome, don't know if I'll be able to get off insulin again or not-it would be nice not to have shots-though they don't hurt at all, I don't even feel them.
Mom is still waiting for an MRI on her shoulder-the insurance company is making her "jump thru hoops" before approving it :(
We're both hanging in there and we both feel much better knowing our furriends are thinking about us and sending healing purrs.
Love, GJ and Momcatt

Head bonks to you and your mom. Our mom knows a kitty who lived a very long happy life on insulin, so take heart, our ruddy furriend. And we sympathize with your mom on the shoulder thing - I mean it must interfere with the essential activities of daily living - cat petting, litter box cleaning, and cat feeding! (Seriously though, insurance run arounds are the pits.)

I hope you get your glucose level stabilized - jumping around like that is scary. We sympathize for your mom too - and hope you can both get back to enjoying every day!

Glad to hear that your sugar is down. Seems that insurance companies want your arm to basically be falling off before they approve anything, and then they pay what like $2 bucks? Purrs for both of you!

We hope the correct dosage plan can be worked out fur you, GJ!
Purrs to your Mom, too.
Insurance companies need to send all their employees, esp the policy writers to the hospital, maybe that would make them a bit more furendly to deal with if they have 'been in the shoes'...
