Diary of a Ruddy Aby

Grumpy Gentleman

October 25th 2012 3:45 am
[ View A Comments (13) ] was another trip to the vet yesterday and quite frankly I was just not in the mood nor was I amused :(
When I saw the carrier come out I ran and Aby's can be incredibly swift when we choose to be. I cleverly found a good hiding place under the bed and thought I was well hidden but Mom found me and coaxed me out. I grumbled a bit at first then settled down for the ride.
There was good news, my blood sugar is coming down, so, we'll keep working on getting the amount of insulin right. I'm thankful for the good care I'm getting from Dr. Prince and staff and how Mom and Dad love me and take care of me.
I was grumpy at the start of the day and at the end of the day I was on my soft bed in the fresh air and sunshine watching leaves fall from the beautiful trees, I thought of my seasons in the sun and the joy in my life.
Peaceful purrs,
Gentleman Jack

Great mews, GJ!

The WBS are absolutely right - sun puddles, fresh air and the beauty of the fall should help set the mood right. Glad to hear it turned out to be a positive vet visit!

Glad your Mom was able to coax you out, since it all turned out right. Hard to be grumpy when nature is putting on such a show!

Sans the grumpiness it sounds like you had a great vet visit though and we're so glad you're feeling better!

Wonderpurr news, GJ! We're still purring! Better & better each day!

I remember I used to find the carrier FASCINATING ... 'til it was time for me to go in it ... MOL You're right: Abys can wriggle right out of a hooman's grip when motivated! Hee hee "Greased lightning"!

Glad to hear the news! If music is known to tame the savage beast, then a sun puddle is enough to melt one. Glad it had a calming effect.
