Doing the best we can

It's a difficult time for all of us. Micky and Minerva know something is wrong. We're doing a bit better with giving the medication, just hate seeing Jack drool and get stressed. Jack is drinking much more water, just in the last two days the level in the water dish is going down much more rapidly. Hoping by next week the lung problem will be better and the change in diet will help so that the glucose will not be as high.
Thanks to all our friends for your kind words and support, you are making this difficult time more bearable.
Hugs and purrs, Gentleman Jack and family

Just remembered something Colette and Samsara's mom told us about giving medicines, though possibly someone's already mentioned this - still do the rest of the stuff: wrapping like a burrito, wedging against legs, etc., but she also mentioned sliding her hand up over the back of the head in such a way that you're securing the head and covering the eyes at the same time, sort of like when someone gets behind you and covers your eyes and says "Guess who?". But you're doing it one handed so that you can tip the mouth open with the other and put the meds in. Big purrs!!!

Is there any chance this medication comes in a transdermal that you can put on his ear instead of the liquid? You might want to ask.
