Computerless

We have been computerless for a week-finally had a local tech guy make a house call and now all is well....for now. We didn't know computers guys made house calls. Well he did admire our Catster pages.
Anyway, we wanted to thank all our furriends for sending good wishes on my good vet visit. Thank you all, we love our Catster furriends!
We've been hanging out on our 'outside' cat beds a lot. There is a lot of painting going on indoors, we don't like the clutter or the paint smell :( but we've been enjoying the cool breezes and lazy days.

Good News

I went to the vet this week for my yearly check-up. As usual, I cried all the way there and would not come out of my carrier willingly. After I did come out and was examined and taken to the dreaded "procedure" room, they STOLE my blood, I was pronounced healthy as can be and my 10 year old toofies are in excellent condition. I did enjoy being admired and told how sleek my coat is and how handsome I am :)
The best news, there is diabetes in my Aby Mom's bloodline and my blood sugar number was purrfect!

Diary Pick

I was surprised to find I was a diary pick! Thanks to all who sent congratulations. I'm enjoying the feeling of being 'outside' on the screened porch. Spring came early and with it beautiful flowers, birds and multi-shades of green on the leaves.

My 10th Birthday

I want to thank all my wonderful furriends who sent me birthday wishes, pawmails, zealies and cards. You made my 10th birthday so special. I got treats, especially loved my Greek yogurt, brushies, time in the sun....
What more could an Abi wish.

10 Years Old

I woke up this morning to a beautiful day on the mountain, spring came early this year and everything is in bloom from dogwood to tulips. It's my tenth birthday, I started the day with hugs and best wishes from Mom and Dad and my favorite Greenie treats. Mom says this will be a very special day for me!

My 9th Birthday, March 26, 2011

Mom has said all day that she can't believe I'm 9 years old, seems like just yesterday I was a little ruddy kitten and Mom and Dad drove to the Alabama cattery where I was born to get me. I've had a wonderful day, I slept in my bed in front of the heater and listened to the rain, very cozy. I want to thank all my furriends for their thoughtful rosies and pawmails, you've made me feel very special.

The things my pawrents do....

Miss Colette and Miss Minnie have invited me to talk about the things my pawrents do....that made me wonder....
Lets see, My furrther will not let me knead his neck but my Mom lets me knead as long as I want too. But, Momcat does not brush me as often as I'd like....I don't think 5-6-7 brushings a day would be too often....Neither will let me eat as much as I'd like, I have a healthy appetite but they don't want me to become a portly gentleman cat :)
Also, Mom is leaving the Catmus tree up this year, she says, thru the cold and dark days of the rest of the winter, I think it's rather purrrty and gives the nicest glow on snowy, sleety days.

All in all, I'm a very happy and contented kitty.

Abandoned kitty

We live on a dead end street with a circular turnaround-we've had several abandoned pets in our neighborhood and last week a pretty gray kitty started coming to our door. Mom and Dad have been feeding her. At first it was heart breaking to see her eat-she was so hungry. After a week she is gaining weight, purring and wants to be petted. All the shelters are full in our area, there are so many kitties who need homes now. We heard Mom and Dad talking and she may become our sisfurr!

Sara is a pretty black and white girl who went to the Bridge at age 18, she's asked me to tell 5 things about myself.

Jack's 5
1. I love to be brushed and I got a wonderful new brush for Christmas, it's meant to be a HORSE brush but I love it. (I also love horses) It's a soft plastic mitt and really gets the loose fur off and I purr while being brushed.
2. My favorite toy is a catnip sock.
3. My favorite food is still Greek yogurt.
4. My favorite color is green-it compliments my coat.
5. I don't wear a collar or clothing. Mom tried to put Weezercat's sweater on me and I pitched a fit. I just wear my ruddy coat.

Snow day fun...from D.J. Jack

We enjoyed our snow day Monday. I had fun listening to music and adding to my playlist and concentrated on music from the late 50's and 60's.
Makes me want to just jump up and do the Abyssinian twist.
