Arrival Story: My Mom was a wild woman! A true feral cat, and brilliant I might add. However, when she knew it was time for my brothers and I to be born, she knew she would need help: food, shelter (there are racoons and big mean toms in my neighborhood - not to mention, rotten kids with BB guns). So, she swallowed her pride and took up residence in a person-garage. The people there filled a box with soft rags for her, shooed out all the other cats, and brought her food and water. My brothers and I stayed in there with mom until we were big enough to go outside. Acctually, I demanded we be let out. I climbed the walls and slipped out the open window several times. The people figgured that meant I was quite capable of taking care of myself.

Bio: I was born with three big brothers. Their names were Fred, George, and Fleur (means "flower" ... he liked to prance around and swish his tail. He was pretty, and he knew it). We were named after some strange book... my name was just plain Ron until the people discovered I was all girl and changed it to Veronica. I prefer to be called Ronnie. After a few weeks, one of the girl people came into our garage home with another tiny orange kitten. He was all scarred up and dirty. She said that the neighbors found him under a car. Mom just rolled her eyes. "I'm already nursing four, what's one more?" she meowed. So my brother Harry joined us. Unfortunatly, he brought ringworm with him. Our beautiful fur fell out! The people kept shoving pills down our throats, saying they'd help. Yeah, right. We were to smart for them. We hid pills in our cheeks and then spit them out. If they put them in food, we ate around them. We were so tricky! They did manage to get pills in us, but darn it, they had to earn every single pill!
Eventually, my brothers grew up and wandered away. (Except for poor Fred, he died of a nasty fever.) Fleur left first... I think someone took him. His fur was so pretty and soft, and he was so friendly, it wouldn't surprise me. Not long after George left (I think he missed his twin, Fred, too much and home was a painful reminder). Harry had always been a wild one. He just started staying away from home for longer and longer periods of time. He always told me about his trips when he visited. Maybe he'll come visit again someday, but I doubt it. As for myself, well, someone's gotta look after these humans and make sure they keep the place running smoothly!

One of my newest Catster Friends asked my family a very good question. How did we get our names? Well, most of us have a story, so we all decided to write diary entries about it. I guess I really should since I never have before, even though I think I mentioned something about my name in my bio.
Me and my brothers were all named after kids in some book. My adopted brother was Harry and he and I were best friends so I was named Ron. Until they found out I was a girl and changed it to Veronica. But everyone calls me Roni. Since we have red fur, my people named the rest of my brothers after other redheads in the book. Fred and George were the twins. Then my blond brogher was named Fleur because he was very beautiful.
