Sorry to have been a bit slow in posting this in my diary but mum has been in recovery mode ... dont understand why .... but here goes .
The day of the parade was a sunny hot morning that got hotter as the day wore on .The temp got to about 86 Degrees F in the shade . We left home about 9am and after picking up another lady and her little dog away we went .. St John was our first stop of the day and we were there til about lunch time . Mum and all the other people were fed but i didnt want any thing so I stayed in the shade getting lots of attention from all the people there . Then down the road we went and got on a bus ... there were 5 busses ... and into the city we went ..
A walk of about 10 mins ... and then we were put into our place for the parade. By now it was hot so we were allowed to stay in the shade thank goodness ... well by now there was lots of noise from the bands around us and noisy floats and even an old fire engine that had Ronald Mc Donald on the top !! Then it was time and away we went... there were lots of people and it was fun ... a police man made mummy stop and he gave me lots of pats .. then mummy had to run to get back in our place ... well there were lots and lots of people and the further down town we went there just got more and more ... all told we were told there was about 25000... I got a bit hot at the bottom of town so mum sprayed me with waer and later put a wet cold cloth over my back .. that was good . It took us about and hour and a half to walk the whole parade and that was why mum
