Arrival Story:
In 2003 I decided I really wanted to have some cats again. Because I'm not home all day I decided adult cats would be better and I wanted two cats so they can keep each other company. I also wanted shelter cats, as I know there are always kitties that need re-homing. I explained to the shelter what I was looking for and they said they had a pair they thought would be ideal. So I went to see Tonic and his brother (Gin) and loved them instantly. Also they seemed a bit stressed about being in the shelter: Their previous owner was getting divorced and moving back in with her parents on a busy road so she had to give them up. But they'd obviously been used to having a comfortable home before, so I felt really upset for their situation. They've been with us 3.5 years now and the house is now more their's than ours!

Bio:
Tonic was 18 lbs. when we got him - a bit of a comfort eater and a bit timid. We've managed to slim him down a little and the vet says he's ok now at 15 lbs. - but he's still a big boy. He's a bit of a scrapper too when other cats dare enter his beloved garden.
