Being a Stealth Cat, Organizing a Midnite Cat Rescue

Arrival Story:
My step daughter brought her and her 4 kittens here when she moved from Hemet. Molly was born in the hot, dry desert.

Molly has been through alot. When my step daughter rescued her, she had been badly beaten by a human. She took Molly in, and got her better. Molly was due to have kittens about the time my step daughter was going to move. She let Molly have the kittens, we moved everyone up here. Two hours of meowing x 5. It was worth it. Molly is a very strong and brave girl. She is shy around people she does not know or trust. She does not like children because they chase her and want to pet her. She has lived here in Downey for many years, and pretty much has the run of the neighborhood. All the kids know who she is. No one has tried to hurt her here, because they all know who she is and who she belongs to. They know she is not a stray. I cannot keep a collar on her, so I quit buying them. Somewhere, there is a collection of Molly collars. __________________________________ ____ Hi! Molly here....I wanted to mention my cat rescue operation. I was a scared and lonely stray once. I have lived through abuse, and I understand the story of a stray. I hang out with them at night and bring them home to my house for food and water. Since we live in the back house, we hang back there if things are too crazy on the street. Lexi does not bug my rescues, as long as she sees me outside. I will continue to look for rescues and help little kittens find their way to mom. I could not do this without mom's help. She has made the neighbors understand that the strays are here. If they eat food that is designed for them instead of trash and clean water, they are less likely to be sick. Mom and dad take any friendly strays I find and have their surgery done, let them recover and let them back outside for me to play with. It's only one little street, but mom, dad and I have made a difference. I say pooey to those who are mean to shall get yours...

I overheard mommy talking to her sister and she told her that when it starts raining tomorrow, she will have to remind herself that she does not have to go outside and find me and make sure that I am safe and dry. I never knew she did that. I thought she was coming outside to pet me and give me loves. Well, don't worry mom I will be safe and dry. Now I can look over you to do the same. I miss you mom, I miss our nightly walks, I miss you picking me up and carrying me home, me talking about my adventures all the way....I never realized that I had a good life until I talked to some of the other bridge angels let me be myself.

If you had told me this a month ago, I would have bit you.- MOL.

Well, as you all know...I went to the bridge very suddenly and unexpectedly. It was traumatic....but now I see why I was brought up here. Apparantly Keiko and his kitten posse are little trouble makers. He runs around with the under 6 month old group of kittens. Well, since I have all this experience with rounding up and rescuing....I was put in charge of rounding up all of the smaller Keiko. I try to nap in the sun, like old times....but baby Keiko will find me, walk on me, paw me in the face and force me to get up. He tells me when the babies are running loose. Chasie and Emma helps me sometimes. Mainly, it is my job. So glad I have all of this mommy experience. MOL. Ooops...gotta run....

My new home.

Well, I am getting adjusted to my new home. It is really different from the streets. I found some kittens to round up. Keiko helps me...when he isnt causing trouble. But, I think my rescue days on the cul de sac were over anyway. Mom has spayed or neutered most of the cats. The only one left was Orangie. He does not go visit mommy now that I am not there. We used to walk around together, kind of watching each other's backs. He stays close to the house around the corner. Mom sees him, but does not call him. He eats over there too, so he is ok. I hang out with Chasie. It is nice to see her acting like her old self, before the dementia. She hugged me as soon as I arrived. I know mom took what happened to me really hard because I suffered a lot. But she stayed with me until I flew away. I am glad I did not leave this world all alone, and I know that I was loved unconditionally. I had an awesome and full life, full of adventure. I am glad that I brought all those homeless kitties home to mom. She always knew just what to do. I miss Bella. We used to play paw through the screen door. I see her put her paw out. She knows I came home, in a box but I dont think she really understands that I am not really there, and cant play paw with her for a very long time. I hope she does not think that I dont like her. She never saw me after I was hurt. That was a good thing, because I did not look very pretty after that. Mom told me that I was the most beautiful kitty she had ever known. I have been watching mom slowly clean out the back of uncle Scott's truck--the remnants of my earthbound life, and the kitty tower the neighbor gave me to sun myself on. I will be ok up here, but I will forever miss my mom.
