Arrival Story:
Rocky was rescued at one day old when he was orphaned in the woods after his stray mother and siblings passed over the Rainbow Bridge at the jaws of a raccoon. Recognizing his potential as a future mover and shaker, he was bottle fed and burped by the humans every three hours 24/7 for many weeks. (Now a hefty, hunky, managing mancat, Rocky is still known to hit the bottle on occasions.) Rocky moved quickly into management of the household, responsible for terrorizing eldercat Callie; performing as an immovable object in front of doors; biting the ankles of humans; and standing sentry duty in water bowls. In 2006, Rocky emerged as the obvious candidate for CEO (Cat Executive Officer) of

A loving couple in my area who rescues, spays & neuters stray cats, and who have a legal kennel license, are being shut down by the city, who at the same time have forced them to give up their family business and their home of more than 20 years ... all because of a ridiculous zoning issue. This couple is using their own money to do the city's work by caring for stray animals, and they're losing everything because of it.

Please come read the full story on my blog, and join our email blitz to city officials before their meeting next Thursday. And anything you can do to spread the word would be so appreciated!

As CEO (Cat Executive Officer), my job is to snoopervise everything going on here at Artsy Catsy. Right now I have the human artists slaving away at creating beaded cat bookmarks - check it out at

I love this part of my job! Bookmarks are made with waxed linen. In catspeak, waxed linen is STRING!! My favorite thing in the universe! And BEADS! Beads that roll across the floor even better than cat toys! I am following my bliss; this CEO gig is a dream come true!

The deal is, I've got the artists making these bookmarks because we recently did a special benefit for Mu Shue, a sick Catster kitty, and sold almost $700 worth of bookmarks in just a few hours and sent all the money to Mu Shue. After the benefit, I got bombarded with emails from people still wanting to buy bookmarks. So I told the humans we couldn't wait until we launch our e-commerce site; if the customers want bookmarks now, we give them bookmarks now. So we're offering them on our blog ... along with photo frame bookmarks to hold a custom photo of your special kitty.

And, we're donating a portion of all proceeds to the Best Friends Animal Society and to establish a badly needed no-kill shelter in our hometown.

Okay, back to snoopervising the artists ....
