Thank you all again for your kindness and gifts!!

Meowmy wants to tell everypurr who said such kind words and sent us rosettes that we are both so grateful for you! Though it's been very hard since I've gone to the Rainbow Bridge, meowmy knows that I am with my brother and Miss Kitty now.

There is another thing I must tell you. You see, I know meowmy has the rest of my earth brothers and sisters, but I sent her down two little baby angels as well to cheer her and daddy up. Yes, there are 2 new additions to the furmily and, like me, they are two little black kittens (a brother and sister rescue kittens)! Meowmy will be making their Catster pages very shortly.

Meowmy still misses me very badly and always will. She knows that me, my brother and Miss Kitty will remain in her heart forever.

My meowmy wants to thank you all for your kind words and gifts! She promises to get back to all of you, but wanted to write this in the meantime to express how touched she is by all the love we have received. And I have lovely wings now!! It's still hard for meowmy, but she's getting through it, especially with the help of my furmily back on earth (my little fuzzy love Davy is giving her extra cuddles for me). But this is a big thank you for everyone's kind wishes and kind words, we can't say thank you enough!!

Lily, I miss you my loving girl!

It's been two weeks now since my little angel went to the bridge. I miss her terribly, and her daddy went to pick up her ashes last Friday. She will soon join her brother Tiger and old friend (well, maybe frenemy) Miss Kitty in our special cabinet, but for right now, she is with me, next to the bed, where she usually sat. It's my way of keeping her with me a little longer. I know she is at peace now, but my heart still aches to hold her again (as I'm sure you all can understand). At least I know her brother Tiger will be thrilled to chase her for hours on end again and play paws with his little sister up there!

Her vet has handled this so well, and I can't say enough about how much better this was handled than our other two furangels' passings. My vet's office is truly a blessing.

I miss you my little angel, and Pumpkin has been looking all over for you. I wish I could explain what has happened, but I think the rest of the kitties know, in their own way. We are all blessed to have had you for 14 wonderful years!

My little girl is now at the Rainbow Bridge

Dear all,

It is with a very heavy heart that I have to let you know that Lily, my beloved little baby girl, has gone to the Rainbow Bridge today. I am still a bit in shock and am very very sad right now, along with Lily's daddy. Lily's condition deteriorated very quickly over the past couple of weeks, with me hand feeding her several times a day.

Initially I thought it was her teeth bothering her and I did not think that things were quite as bad as I discovered today at the vet, where it was found that Lily's kidneys were very enlarged, her urine extremely dilute (and showing signs of an infection), and her temperature exceedingly below normal. I really did not expect to lose my little girl today, but the vet felt that even with fluids and IV antibiotics, Lily would not last more than a couple of weeks at most, and possibly not survive the night.

My husband and I made the choice to put her to sleep today, and stop her suffering. As always, it was one of the hardest decisions to make and we are still dealing with the fact that our oldest little girl (one of the original 3 kitties with Tiger and Miss Kitty) is no longer with us. I'm still processing this. It's overwhelmingly sad, even though I know she is with her brother Tiger at the Bridge and with Miss Kitty again too as an angel. Please purr for all of us to heal after our loss.

Easter Lily

Early Happy Easter Everypurr!!

Meowmy says that the only Easter Lilies to have in your house are cats like me, not the flower kind which can be very dangerous!! She also says the only flowers really allowed in the house are the catnip kind, so we'll have catnip flowers for Easter and cat grass too!!

I'm still doing okay, though the vet says that at some point I may have to have some of my back toothies removed, but that as long as I'm still eating and doing okay on the antibiotics, we can wait (whew). Plus, I'm keeping up my weight and did you know that in a few weeks it's my BIRTHDAY!! I'll be 14!! Can you believe it? But meowmy says I don't look a day over 10 MOL!

I'm here!!

Meowmy has been very bad about her Catster duties, but promises to be better. I decided to take advantage of the fact that she was going to update my diary to let everypurr know how I'm doing. So far, I'm doing pretty well for a girl who is 13.5 (shhhh, don't tell my age). I'm still on my medicine for my gum inflammation, but I'm doing great and my weight is holding steady at 10 lbs (meowmy is soooo proud of me). Though I may have to get my back teeth out at some point, the vet says I'm doing okay right now (whew!). I still hide from meowmy when it's medicine time (she says I'm silly since Davy takes meds too everyday and doens't hide at all and is very good about taking his pills). But as long as I have my special hiding spots (under the bed, in the cabinet, in the armoire, and sometimes the closet), I'm pretty set (though meowmy always manages to find me!! Oh well, it's okay, I'm still a meowmy's kitty (she's the best). Davy agrees (he's a meowmy's kitty too - meowmy calls us the oldies but goodies MOL).

Since mommy has been very bad about keeping up with our Catster activities, she is trying to make it up to us by updating all our diaries. Since Emmy got to speak already, she felt it was only fair that I go next. Unfortunately, I've been feeling pretty yucky lately. You see, a few months back, I got my routine dental cleaning, and after that (and probably before that, we just didn't know), I've been having chronic inflammation of my gums in the back of my mouth. Mommy thinks this is what started setting Emmy off as she sensed I was sick (Tiger used to do this with Miss Kitty when she first was sick too). Now me and Emmy have to keep our distance from each other since she scratched my eye (which thankfully healed up very quickly with some yucky eye drops). Mommy likes me to stay in the master bedroom for the most part so that Emmy can have the rest of the house to herself MOL!

This mouth inflammation has not been fun! First, I was on an antibiotic for over a month, but that didn't help, (and then there was the cat flu that went around the house too - ugh! - and another antibiotic). Then I was put on Prednisone to try to calm down the inflammation. It has helped a lot, but now I'm on it daily, which is a little yucky. A few weeks ago, the vet did a biopsy, just to be sure it wasn't anything more serious like cancer, and thank goodness it wasn't!

So now, I've been getting some b-12 shots to increase my appetite (since my mouth was bothering me, I wasn't eating as much as I should have). It's really been doing a good job and I've been eating a lot of wet food now. I used to only like dry food, but after this all started, mommy force-fed me wet food (since I couldn't eat the dry food), and now I eat that all on my own (which is much better than having mommy do it). Now the vet says we are going to try something called interferon medicine for me to see if that works. We had to get a letter from the FDA and everything since it comes from England (I guess that makes me pretty special). So when my new medicine arrives, I'll update to let you all know how I'm doing. Until then, know that I'm doing okay and that all the kitties (and mommy and daddy), with the exception of Emmy, snuggle me and take very good care of me - especially Davy, TJ, and my little sidekick Pumpkin.

Well hello everyfur!! This is my first official entry in my diary - yay! It seems I've been tagged to play the diary game, so here goes - first the rules:
