Arrival Story:
It was Halloween evening when a neighbor called me and said I had a visitor at my door. I opened it and here was this kitten. He came in and he's been with me ever since.

Bio:
Calan is now pretty much an inside boy. I brought Aara home as a companion but the two have never gotten along well. He used to faux nurse her when she was a kitten, that is as close as they have ever become and it didn't last long. Calan is easy going and would rather lie in the sun than hunt birds or mice. He recently had two of his canine teeth removed for health reasons and is still adjusting to that. Calan passed away quietly at home on April 8, 2009. It was a very difficult time, but we were glad he went at home and on his own terms. We will always think of him lovingly, he was a gentle kitty spirit who is now residing happily on the Other Side. He was quite vocal and I will miss him asking for his Cat Candies.

My Date with Rainbow Bridge

On April 8, 2009 at 9:35PM I made the transitory crossing over Rainbow Bridge, my lifelong companion, Aara was at my side and my Mom was there too, petting me, telling me how much she loves me, and urging me to go to the light. I had a very peaceful and natural passing at home and was ready for my spirit to be free. I had been slowing down for a long time, I slept most of the time, and was suffering somewhat from arthritis. I always loved to eat and was eating up till the day before my last day when I mostly slept, with Aara right by me the entire time. She had never shown much affection for me, so I was grateful she was there with me during my final hours. I was very loved all my long life of 18 plus years, I had a wonderful kitty life, was never wanting for anything, Mom kept me quite pampered. I will miss everyone and I know they will all miss me. I know I will long be fondly remembered and be rejoined with my family someday. I am now free of all my Earthly pain and am happy to be out of my old decrepit body. Mom has laid it to rest out in a peaceful spot in the yard and will be making me a memorial garden which I think is a splendid idea, I know she will plant some catnip there for me:)
