Arrival Story:
B-Lu was born to a mom cat in the pound in Sarasota, FL. Our rescue group took the litter out but most died from horrible upper resp before I became their foster mom. I stayed up for 3 whole days with LuLu putting him on the nebulizer, coupage, steaming, etc. and doing all sorts of crazy things. The emergency clinic said it was hopeless but I could not give up!! On day 3 the mucus broke and we have been deeply attached ever since.
Bio:
LuLu has megacolon due to a deformed spine and related nerve damage. He had his colon removed in May, 2006 and is doing really well. His back leg is deformed as well so he cannot jump very well and walks like he has a "flat tire" in back. He can pull himself up and his front end is like a body builder. He has almost no feeling in his tail or his deformed back foot. He is an awesome kitty with 6 toes in front and 6 in back. He is my little amazing bundle of joy and inspiration. He gets along with everyone. our vet calls him the Switzerland of our house. His only vice: he steals Piper's special food any time he can. Rude.
