Piper was found under an air conditioning unit, born into a feral colony. He was about 3 weeks old and bit me first thing. I brought him home, to the vet, and he became my constant companion, walking in the woods in FL, sleeping with me, helping me swim in the pool by running along the edge and meowing and trying to grab me. He is awesome!!

Bio:
Piper is a quiet indoor kitty who has fibrosarcoma cancer from a vaccine. Shots can cause cancer!!! We are battling this deadly cancer daily. He's a talkative guy and a wonderful friend and I love him SO MUCH.

I have been sick with cancer for 18 months. I got this cancer from a vaccine. I had a good life and the last 18 months of it weren't bad at all. I never had surgery or radiation. I never stayed away from home or my mom and I had a great vet who gave me herbs and other special treatments to slow my cancer down. We thought we could beat it but over time it grew stronger and now it is it time for me to leave my body behind and go forward without it. My back hurts b/c the cancer is in my spine now and my back legs are not working too well. I had a catnip party in the window today and enjoyed the sunshine, fresh air, and the fresh catnip. YUM! Tomorrow at 4:30 (3/23/07) Central I will be transitioning. Mom doesn't know how she'll let me go but she does not want me to hurt. I will see all my old friends and will be waiting for everyone!! I'll be happy and pain-free and I'll run in the woods like used to. I love tuna and I bet they'll have a ton there for me. I wanted to write this to say goodbye to my friends. You have been so nice to know and thank you for all the love you've sent!

Tuna Kisses,
Piper
